I’ve been told if you set up the fingerprint sensor very softly and make sure to do it at a lot of angles, then it goes a lot faster. I’d do it 2/3 times as well just to make sure

Been using the Samsung A70 for a couple of months now. The phone is pretty solid for the price it was sold for in my country. What really sold me to it was the beautiful and spacious 6.7" 1080p SuperAMOLED display, a hefty combination of 6GB Ram and 128GB Internal Storage, decent triple rear-camera and 32MP front camera, the large 4500 mAh battery and 25-watt super fast charger, and, top it all, the nifty features that come with Samsung's One UI such as Dark Mode and Secure Folder. To me the phone just hit the right spot for the features I need with that relatively affordable price tag. 👌🏻

To anyone who might be watching this months later: The model SM-A705MN/DS that is sold on Amazon is indeed GSM only for below LTE speeds, but has 4G LTE bands that support most US carriers, INCLUDING VERIZON. You won't be able to activate a new SIM on these phones with Verizon but if you have an existing one, you can put it in and everything will work without issue: Text, mobile data, AND LTE. So it looks like only Sprint is completely ass out on this one. It also comes with a free 128GB MicroSD card. So there's double the storage.

You convinced me to get this phone. I purchased it May 25, 2020 for $314.99 via Amazon. Your review is very thorough and fair. I got it as a back-up phone to my Google Pixel 3a, which has a much better camera. The camera on the A70 is just OK, with a soft focus. My complaint is that all the default settings are set to Vietnam, where this phone is made. I was able to set the language to American English, but the time zone keeps reverting to Hanoi. I was most interested in the camera, which you start at 16:56. Very detailed!
