Samsung Canceled the Galaxy A74... Here's why

Samsung has canceled the upcoming Galaxy A74. The decision comes as a surprise to all Samsung fans. This has primarily been done to facilitate the Galaxy A54 sales and further to bridge the gap between the Galaxy S23 series and Samsung's midrange phones. Users will either buy the top of the line phones or the midrange phones, nothing in-between. The S22 FE is also in the works apparently. I have done a little bit of research and shared my thoughts in this video.

If they will kill the A70 series phone they should use the snapdragon chipset for the A54. Then in the S22 FE it should have an external card slot for expansion like the A70 series and if possible a headphone jack to differentiate it to the s23 series and closer to the A series for the cost of the A70 series. 😁😁😁

For me and many out there, killing the lineup of Galaxy A7x is a bad decision by Samsung and would leave many people with no option than to switch to other available and perhaps better brands. Simple! 😎

It is really simple - now that Chinese phones are no longer sold in many markets, the competition is not strong and shenanigans like this are possible :-( Happy A71 user

I'm still using my A71 also!,but think it's a shame they didn't keep the A70 series instead,I know side by side there's not much difference,but I prefer the bigger screen,which means a future upgrade to an A70 phone won't be an option for me now! 😔

My guess is the A7x series and the S series FE phones are very similar, so they had to ditch the A7x series and now only keeps the S series FE phones as they sound mire appealing to the general Market

A7x series if launched, would gone above INR45000, which again doesn't make any sense. they didn't cost the a7x properly after A71.

In Latin American, Asian and African countries, having an intermediate cell phone slightly below a top-of-the-line one is good for countless reasons and having more options will always be good for users. Samsung is wrong in wanting to reduce the A and M lines.

I dont mind exynos in A54 but the design should be fresh like s22. The A54 should have thinner bezzels and the phone should be compact with efficient battery not bigger than 6.2 inches and not less than 4500 mAh. That will be my purchase.

Didn't get the 73 in the USA I will say I want to see better haptics in the a54 and it should come with wireless charging too, as far as chip set...if it doesn't benchmark at or over the 778G it will be a hard pass for me for the second year in a row. Samsung has it's chance to shine right now, let's see what happens

i think if they priced s2x fe series right they can effectively remove the a7x series. right now depending on your region theres not a lot of reason to buy a74 since the pricing on that phone is so close to s21 fe you might be better choosing s21 fe anyway since the bump in price is so negligible but the different between the A74 and S21fe in term of feature is drastic. in my country you just need to add $40 to upgrade from a74 to s21 fe and youll get a better spec, better camera, samsung flagship's software feature etc. the only reason people want to buy the a74 over the s21 fe is to get a better battery life but if thats the case then i think youll get better offer with a33 thats if you want to stick with samsung. if you want to look to other manufacturer like xiaomi then xiaomi 12t has way better value proposition than a74, better screen, better spec, same or better camera quality, probably better battery life because of miui's aggressive battery saving behavior, cheaper price, the only problem is miui(if you can stand it) and maybe xiaomi's weak haptic

Samsung ghumne mad. Ditching Snapdragon in A series will be a blunder. When people get to know the ACTUAL difference between Average Exynos n Classy Snapdragon SoCs, they will refrain from buying Exynos phones. But that's the real problem, people don't know the ACTUAL n PRACTICAL difference. Only knowledge can save a buyer 😊

I like that they killed the A70 series. there is no need. just buy galaxy FE series instead. I bought my S21 fe for like $500 AUD. both the A70 and A50 series cost more. they can keep the A30 series as the cheapest samsung entry phone
