I've viewed numerous videos on cleaning a Samsung DW and noticed differing instructions on removing the impeller screw. As you demonstrate, I also used the typical "lefty loosey- righty tighty" method but have seen other videos instruct the opposite ..albeit not surprised in lieu of the imperler's function. Hence, use caution when removing impeller screw to avoid damage to plastic threads ...if, by chance, your model should have a "reverse thread" for securing the impeller. BTW, excellent video!

On some Samsung models, the impeller screw is reverse threaded (i.e. clockwise to loosen, counter clockwise to tighten when looking down at the screw head.) That is the only screw that is reverse threaded. It should not take a lot of turning pressure to loosen or tighten because the thread part holding the screws is plastic, therefore easily stripped if you over tighten.

Hi Alicia - when you put the door down you will see a black flap at the bottom of the door where it meets the inside of the dishwasher. The one thing I hated about this dishwasher was that never sealed properly to keep food out from under that flap. If you lift that flap up I can almost guarantee it’s filled with debris. Use something like orange cleaner that is also a degreaser and a bottle brush yo clean out underneath it really well. After I discovered that I kept it clean on a regular basis. Hope this helps.

I will never buy another samsung appliance again. The gorgeous refridgerator ice cube maker never worked. The microwave latch broke off inside the door so the door wouldn't close, and the dishwasher after two years is throwing trash all over my dishes. I'm a clean and gentle person. Samsung sux.

They should've stuck with just making electronics. They have the worst appliances!

Does the filter on the side come out? Been trying to pull it out but it won’t budge

Hi Zoya, we couldn’t get it off, I didn’t think to look and see if there is a video. I was afraid of damaging it.

How did you get the little white thing that turns out, I have tried but it turns as I turn the screw
@life_with_sunshine Жыл бұрын
Hi Tim, it's been a bit since I have done this and we no longer own the dishwasher (it died). After watching that part of the video I'm thinking I might have used a pair of pliers to hold it in place while I unscrewed it. I'm so sorry that I'm not more helpful. I hope you're able to get it off.
@timgrubbs2299 Жыл бұрын
@Sunshine I have tried that as well. Does your husband remember if it was righty tighty or lefty loosey to unscrew it. I have only tried to turn it left to take off. I keep getting an OC code because water won't drain.

@@timgrubbs2299 I'll ask when he gets home from work tonight. So the standing water that's in the bottom we ended up having a repair man come out but it was not fixable. At least he couldn't figure it out. That's when we had to buy a new dishwasher. But I'll have my husband watch that part in the video and see what he remembers.

The design is poor: most of european designed dishwashers have their heater integrated into the cycling pump that receives purified water: faster heating and scale free heater (provided that the descaling device/salt work properly)

I can’t take it apart! Nor can I get the top shelf out of it.
@life_with_sunshine4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mercedes, I'm not sure if you have the same exact dishwasher. Trying finding another video where it shows how to take it apart first.
@life_with_sunshine3 жыл бұрын
Hi Mercedes, I just remembered that the top rack has clips on the end of it that you have to take off. It’s the only way to get the rack out. Hopefully you were able to figure that out. (I no longer have this dishwasher)

I cannot get my filter off😞 it's on the side

Read through some of the comments. I don’t believe that filter comes off. I know mine was not removable. But I think someone mentioned something about it in one of the comments.

On my Samsung the water pump impeller screw is reverse threads. Our Samsung dishwasher & fridge has been absolute junk! We’ll never buy any Samsung product again & don’t recommend any.
