Bought this dishwasher 6 months ago. We were going for a Bosch ( known as the most quiet on the market) but due to logistics issues related to Covid, there was little to no inventory available. We were convinced by the sales person that this one was equally quiet. And it is. In fact totally noice free. You cannot hear it run..Really! One thing this demo failed to mention: Always choose the Sanitize function along with your chosen cycle ( regular, heavy duty etc.) We realized very quickly, that without the Sanitize function, the load tended to have spots and plastics were never fully dry. Those problems completely disappeared when we selected the Sanitize function.

We have this dishwasher (newer model), and it isn't that quiet. I can hear it in the next room. Now, only a few months in and we are going on our 5th maintenance call for the same thing. The door won't open for for the drying cycle as it should. We keep getting a dC3 error. I'm completely fed up with this thing.

The 3rd rack, the very top one, only comes out half way. Looks like it's getting caught on the upper spinning water sprayer thing. We just got this dishwasher, I cant tell if there is an adjustment, any thoughts? Thanks.

Would have been good to show how to lift cutlery holders in and out of rack. Forcing racks bends prongs. Worst part of otherwise great dishwasher. 7:48

I've had this dishwasher for just over a year and the reflector bar on the bottom broke already. They say it is out of warranty and can do nothing about it. This is the way things go these days

Does not dry your dishes when door opens to let out steam dishes are wet. Only disappointed I really have. Have to dry my dishes before putting up

be glad it doesnt work. i have the opposite problem . my door wont stay all the way shut to run a complete cycle. tape literally holding the door to the counter to keep it shut.

I have (had) the same question. Best buy's listing had a link to the manual. It appears it's a simple twist cap top to pull off the mesh part and then there is a cylinder filter under that which appears to just pull out. Further you can then clean the drain area if residue gets stuck in it. To access the drain area it's a lever and pull up to open the port, then use toothbrush or your finger or something it would appear. It appears a lot easier than my current samsung that requires the removal of 80,000 screws (ok, ok, it's like 20, but when you're bent over the door trying not to break it off it feels like 80,000)

Select the Sanitizer function along with your chosen wash cycle. This completely fixed the issue for us.

Really disappointed with this dishwasher. Have had less than 2 years and have had the same problem twice: once while under warranty and again, now, no longer under warranty. Will never buy another Samsung appliance. Have had builder appliances last years and years without issue. Specifically chose this product due to its reputation. Never again.

Why to they have to make model numbers of things so fucking long. "yes I'm looking for a Dishwasher, model number 4yu22859kjhn411-8zxder-00041873pohj649wwrtyg7okl0009873.1". "Sorry, we don't have anything that matches that model number, I think you're missing a few numbers and letters, at the end there should be 27 more numbers followed by 13 letters in lower case, and then 18 more capital letters."

AUTO OPEN / Evaporative Dry: Rush of heat and steam into an air conditioned kitchen in a house located in a hot climate is absolutely disastrous. The additional cost of air conditioning to compensate for the added heat and humidity far exceeds any possible energy saving from the Energy Star rated dishwasher. Homeowners that live in hot humid climates run away from Samsung and like kind dishwashers!!!! 👎🏼
