When my unlocked firmware Note 20 Ultra got the Android 12 (One UI 4.0) update at the end of Jan 2022, it finally got the e-sim feature along with a second IMEI number. Have T-mobile as e-sim and my travel sim (Globe Telecom) working like a charm now.

Great to see Samsung pushing out this update. Apple  has been pushing out eSIM since its iPhone XS model. This feature is for people who travel a lot, and need to stay connected with multiple carriers. I have been using this feature for the last three years (AT&T and Verizon)

I have a US unlocked so no e-sim for me. Apparently though you can just flash the T-Mobile ROM since it's all the same hardware underneath.
