You are awesome, thank you! My husband and I were able to complete this repair in about 1.5 hours while watching the video. Saved us a ton of money! It is definitely a 2-person job if you’re not a pro. For the part where you have to unscrew the screws on the bottom of the washer, we don’t have one of those fancy 90 degree screwdrivers. So my husband tilted the washer back while I quickly stuck 2 pieces of firewood underneath to hold it back at a tilt. It was then very easy to unscrew those 2 screws using a regular screwdriver. Just be careful to lower it slowly on the way down!

We also found it helpful to label the screws as we were removing them so it was easier to find them again during reassembly

Couple points. This dude is awesome. Anything I say is simply to help. So I'm not sure why this brilliant man suggested in the video saying some steps were tricky yet the hardest part, the spring gasket, was butter for him. Just take care where he suggests. The pump cap is easy. On the right cap side is a huge tab. Jam a screw driver and pry up...pops off. You can use the other screw holes for the pump. They planned on this thing stripping the plastic. Don't use a drill to take em out or put back... Put the door back in the bottom gave and tilt it back all the way without closing to get the lock back on. Remember the gasket is off so u have a lot of room to work the lock back. The spring can go in any position. I looped from bottom and then put spring in 10:00 position. Mine had a huge hair wad at the impeller blocking the pipe. I put the new part he linked and it works better

is the latest revision part # for this drain pump currently "DC31-00187A" ? As I notice the part number in the title of your video shows the original oem part number, but most of the replacement offerings are the one I mentioned. Thanks,

This tool is called a Dewalt right angle extension. They also make a Milwaukee 60° angle extension options.

I got a 1SC error code which indicated it was the top washer drain pump which was a headache to get to but i did it however after replacing it i still got the same code after running a test cycle. At this point I don't know what else to do or look for.any suggestions would be highly appreciated!!

If the washer is leaking just a little when it pumps out would you just replace the entire housing along with the pumps or will the pump leak through the shaft and out the back?

Have a Samsung front load that started failing to spin on heavier loads. I cleaned the drain pump access and found a little cracked piece of Grey plastic. Since the washer works with lite to mod loads but not a few towels (won't complete the spin/ keeps adding time) is it possible one if the fins broke off the impeller? Unsure why it works sometimes then not with a few 3-4 towels load. Samsung support is zero help. Tub has no wobble and unit is newly balanced perfectly.

I bought top loader auto 8kg defy ( by bekco brands !! The washer went faulty in 9 months still under warrenty ! !!!! The unit was suxing out water in middle of quick wash and the play button flashed and then the 56 mintue wash did the same !!! E1 E2 , And 2 repairs under warrenty 😢!! All the same issues again ! So i got sent a new unit and it was worse than unit taken away ..!! So eventully the retailer gave us 2nd credit 🎉!!! So we ended paying in more got the LG direct Drive 7kg front loader auto 🎉! Soo very happy with the lg .

Good morning sir. I have an identical washer. Model wv55m9600avv5. It rarely turns on and when it finally does turn on lights start flashing and it shows 18:88 on the display alternating between the wash time. Could you please assist as to what board will needs to be replaced. No much info on the internet about those washers or that particular issue. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Wish I could help my friend. That’s something I would have to call Samsung about. I would recommend calling a Samsung authorized servicer to help out with that. I wish you luck though.

Hi. I have a Samsung Flexwash model WV55M9600AW/A5. The upper tub's lock lid handle broke. I spoke to Sears parts direct and they stated I had to change the washer tub ring assembly (Part #Part #DC97-20036B). How do I go about dissembling/assembling the upper unit to replace that part?

you should try installing a lid lock switch on that Mini top washer there... thats is a very big job. a lot to remove to switch out that lock... Haha...

I had the same issue. I checked further for any clogs in the black hose and found some baby socks and a toy. I still went ahead and changed the motor after I removed the stuff causing the clog.

The best tool to used is a plastic puller that want scratch the panel and put it on the front and it would just pull out. These Flex washer are tricky. I'm a appliance technician

Just so you know: i always install water like 1 or more gallons in a 5 gallon bucket before installing that front panel to see if i have a leak on a hose. never do i install that front panel before adding at least 1 gallon of water... just say`n ...

My bottom washer drains fine it’s the upper not draining do they have to drain pumps or only one

They have separate drain pump. For working an that I believe you have to remove the top washer to work on it. It’s a total pain. Will probably take you an hour or more just to get to it. Have a nice long weekend to figure this thing out. If you need call someone I completely understand but labor will be expensive in it. Samsung didn’t help out when it comes to repairing this unit. It’s Really hard to do anything right underneath the top washer. Good luck!
