Thank you, it worked on the first try. The tip about holding the washer in position for a few minutes seems to have been the key. I love this washer dryer set, and the problem was my fault. I overfilled the upper washer water softener cup when I was in a hurry last night. It's actually a nice feature that it won't let you ignore a leak.

Thanks for the input, this process helped me identify the issue with my samsung flex. It would stop at error code 7 with DC code .. I cleaned filter on bottom left, ran test a again with no faults. Thanks again dude. You save me some money.

I have the same washing machine in the same LC 1/ILC1 went on a couple of times. I saw in one of the KZbin videos a build up of softener on the top machine receptacle. I cleaned it up, and I used a thin flimsy plastic wire brush. A small cylindrical black sponge came out in the process.It worked and we stopped using softener on the top washing machine. We had a second episode today and the softener receptacle on the top washing machine is filled up with water and the same message which means a leak detected by the sensor. We tilted the washing machine to get rid of some of the water and restarted the machine it stopped beeping but as soon as you use the machine the error message comes back on again. Can you advise me of what to do next?Why the softener receptacle is filling up with water if I’m not using it?

Thank you for the video. I tried to put in diagnostic test mode for the lower washer, but it seems the control panel is stuck the white cycle. It will not allow me to press the delay button. Any thought would be appreciate it.

Hi I bought this washer and dryer brand new about a year ago and for a month now I've had trouble with getting the power to start at first it was only a few seconds delay I press the power button but it would take a few seconds to come on then it started taking longer and now it doenst turn on at all.

Great video, if I may ask. I’m having an issue I have a Samsung WV55M9600AV/A5. My washers front power control panel losses power. Power lights go off and don’t come back until a couple hours even though you press the power button. Power at times returns seconds at a time. What do you think it could be? Main Control Board in the back, Or Could it be the front panel where all the buttons are. Thanks in advance. I appreciate your videos. 🙏❤️

Got the same model here in the shop and everything runs great but once it hits the 12 min mark it freezes the display and does nothing it still counts down although frozen just does nothing and won’t show the count down.

Thank you for the video, my machine did not come with a tech sheet. I saw how you made the top washer go into diagnostics. Can you show how you make the bottom washer go into a diagnostic mode? My machine won’t spin when started. My wife overloaded the bottom washer and I think it screwed up the weight sensor. Doesn’t start/ spin. Just does it’s initial drain pump start and then water fill and that’s it.

@@victornunez9433 I ended up calling Samsung tech support. I was weeks shy for the warranty to cover the repair so I had to pay out of pocket. They came and swap out I think the power supply and other boards. They didn’t have the board they needed so they ordered it, came back and replaced it and it worked. Not exactly sure what board was replaced.

I believe my wife had overloaded the washer causing an over current or maybe balancing issue and a board inside the washer went bad/ burnt

Hello JJ's Applicance Repair. First off, thanks for the video. Loved the fact you're sharing this however, I have no issue with the top washer, my issue is with the bottom washer. During Hurricane Ian, we had severe storms. I woke up and my Samsung Model:WV60M9900AV, was making a humming noise--I actually thought it was my heat pump since it's located right outside the backdoor of my laundry room. i realized, my heat pump was off becuase I had the fireplace going. That's when I discovered it was my washer. There were no lights on the front panel so that's why I didn't think it was the machine. I hit the power button and it stopped. Four days later, I went to wash and the top washer works but the bottom doesn't. I put a wash to wash in lower tub and now it's locked and won't open. I've done everything possible and found your video. Will you please let me know how to run the diagnostics. I pushed the same buttons except extended rinse, and got to a 1C; I tried to push the start button but it wouldn't do anything. Please help. Thanks, Roxanne

URGENT _ FIX for this is a new updated part - Part # DC62-00702A This replaces a small foam part deep in the fabric softener tray that stops working and causes the leak in the first place. Use a tech to repair this, try to get it covered.

Thank you for the video. I also am one of the unfortunate souls with a floor model. The model number is WV55M9605MV/A5. The key variations are that it is 9605M not 9600A. While the A signifies made for the Americas, the M signifies made for M.E. Asia. More importantly, it appears that the 9605 is simply a meant to be a display only model. Thus it received the M designation by default, simply because they are assembled in Vietnam. Neither the top nor bottom washer will permit you to enter Smart Install (service mode). I assume they have special firmware. Each washer has its own firmware, so I am looking at buying two boards minimum just to discover what other parts have been omitted. I did notice there was no antenna on the wifi module, but otherwise she looks complete. The main board is DC92-01989B for the bottom washer. Is this where the firmware resides? I assume so, but thought it might be able to sit on one of the control boards. The boards all have the correct part numbers on them. Has anyone had any success in flashing these boards? Is there anyone who eve does this?

@@ApplianceRep I thought for sure the firmware would be resident on the main boards. Thank you for keeping me from making a big mistake. However in looking for the display kit you mentioned, I might need a small clarification. This machine actually has 2 display boards, left and right. In looking at the exploded view in the parts diagram, it appears they are only sold separately. The left board has 2 Integrated circuits on it, is tied into the main harness and has the wifi board attached to it (and is somewhat difficult to source). The right board has a single IC on it, is slaved to the left board and there are boat loads of them available on ebay. I'm guessing I need to replace the left board only. It appears to be offered as DC92-02046A which they named "Assembly Kit". Do I need to replace both display boards? Or just the left one?

@@ApplianceRep Thank you for the clarification. My board is ordered. I am dying to learn more however. Is the residency of the firmware normally on a control panel type board and not the main (power) board for Samsung laundry (and other) appliances? And what about the other major brands, Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, and LG? Whirlpool especially. I have a Whirlpool made Kenmore 26132 with a (stripped) impeller. Very tempting to replace it with an agitator from a 20372. Mechanically it is a perfect fit. No issues there. But most likely it won't work with the existing firmware. I'm sure there are segments of the cycle where it lets the impeller spin at high speed. Not exactly the motion you would want to see in an agitator.

His Joon there are leak sensors at the bottom left and right go to back of unit and take cover off you’ll see the sensors on the floor dry them up and lift them up put some spacers under the sensors use less soap

@@ApplianceRep Having a similar issue except I turn the top & bottom machines off and they turn themselves back on again. They're constantly beeping and flashing LC1 & ILC1. I turn them off again & they keep turning back on. I finally unplugged it, gave it an hour, plugged it back in and it's doing the same thing. Any ideas at all? My appliance repair gave up.

For top loading washer diagnostics mode, you show pressing "Power+Temp.+Extra Rinse", but when you go to the bottom washer, it looks like you are already in the diagnostic mode. Can you tell us what key combo you used to enter diagnostic mode on the bottom washer..? 🤔 EDIT- Figured it out: Press then release "power" button, then press then release "CYCLE 1" button until it indicates "normal" mode. Once in "normal" mode, press then release "Delay End" till it shows "17h". Now, press and hold the "START/PAUSE" button till it shows "A5". Then, to start diagnostics, press "START/PAUSE" button. 👍🙂

My upper washer worked a couple times now it just gives me 1dC4 error that a lot of people are getting and it won’t clear. Obviously it’s clicking when I close the door but it just won’t start and the error code will keep on blinking. I read that is a “The problem is a switch built into the inner "protective cover" on the upper washer. In order to "fix" this broken switch, the entire cover has to be replaced”. What is your take in this problem?

Model #WV60M9900AV/A5 just called Samsung and as soon as I mentioned the problem they told me a button or switch needs to be replaced. They gave me a parts department phone number (which is closed today) and told me to call them so they can send me the switch or button. Is it going to be free I don’t know 🤷🏽‍♀️ but it should be because obviously is a common problem and it’s not been not even a year since I bought the machine. 🤔🤨

They sent a really young guy who put the new door and he broke my light 💡 fixture in the process. After that it was still not working and he called someone who tried helping him do his job and then told him they will have to come again another day. The sent a different young guy a few days later. He seems more knowledgeable and confident but then again he disassembled almost the whole machine because he needed to reach some button or cable whatever it was he was upset because the other guy didn’t want to come and the job was suppose to be for 2 people. He left again and apparently the top washer was not working. So I left it at that. But next day I started the top washer and it worked I think they don’t know how to operate the machine. We had another appointment with them and my husband just let them come in even though the machine was working . I was not here so I don’t know how it went. But I didn’t have to pay for getting it fix plus they reimburse us for the broken light fixture.
