Samsung front load washer quick diagnosis stopping in mid cycle

This is common to a lot of Samsung front-load washers where the complaint is that it will stop running put up error codes not complete a cycle remember to UNPLUG the unit and turn off water supply before doing any type of service to it. it may not always be the case but a lot of the times it has to do with the drain pump being clogged or defective

Draining the water from that little hose takes forever and some units are closer to the floor so may only have room for a cooking tray. Use a wet/dry Vac. Turn it on and hold the vacuum hose just underneath the drain filter. Unscrew it a little bit and suck the water out. 10 times faster!

Hey there, I have a 2 year old unit not working it starts a cycle and fails at the beginning, a self clean runs for a few mins and fails….eventually it gets error code 3c, diagnostics shows code 3c2, I’ve had people say it can be my door lock or the control board as well…any help appreciated. I have cleaned the filter and drain but not pulled the pump off yet, seems to be draining fine though.

This is always the first thing I do. Check the filter. I don't wait until I have a problem. It's a regular thing like all other filters on machines they have to be cleaned. I have an issue with my Samsung that has me puzzled. The machine has become a lazy teenager. It will get the job done but on it's own time. So sometimes I start it at 7am and the cycle doesn't start until 3pm but then all goes well. I reset the machine as I though I could have added an accidental delay on it but still no change. Any suggestions? Also, in your video you press several buttons to run the test cycle. Would you mind disclosing what the order is?

Mine has been doing this. I have the exact same washer. I pulled out the filter and it was full of junk. I cleaned it out and put it back. It is still doing it though. What should I check next?

It sounds like your drain pump is defective and will need to be replaced

I opened up the plug and nothing came out of the black tube. it just all flowed out of the wide opening where the plug goes. Is there a way to figure out how to fix that? I’m pretty sure that’s not normal.

Try pushing some weed trimmer string or other stiff plastic up the tube to unclog it. A wire coat hanger will do in a pinch, but don't force it as it could puncture things.

Hey had the same issue I removed my drain hose and it was gummed up with gunk. Cleaned it out seems like it fixed the problem

I tried this, but now when I go to try one of the cycles, it makes a weird noise as if the drum was scraping up against something and it won’t begin.
