I just replaced my screen after watching your video. The video made it easy so thanks for that. I have a question though. My phone had been dead for two years and I'm wondering if I need a new battery because when I plug in the charger, the display shows a lightning bolt, but it never gets to 1% and it won't turn on. I left it plugged in for over an hour.

Your instructions were great! The only issue I ran into was the digitizer set up I purchased did not come with the volume control connection like in your video, so I had to remove that from the old set up and add it to the new one (had to heat and peel to remove it. Otherwise, everything else was great! Thank you!!

I did the repair exactly like the way you did. Everything works fine except for the volume button. Cannot control the volume using the button. However, the button works for getting out of recovery mode. I thought I received a defective screen from Amazon and asked them to send a replacement. Put in the replacement and the exact same thing happened. 100% sure it is not the flex. Already reset the OS's General settings. So 100% sure it is not the OS's General settings. Do you know the reason?

instructions were GREAT. Just FYI make sure that any aftermarket digitizer frame units are A32-U and NOT A32-B. The A32-B unit are international and will NOT work on US phones.
