if you can spare $300 I do suggest getting the 8GB/256GB variant like I did. plenty of storage and the extra ram gives the A34 a boost and the 1080 chip works well. not much of a dropoff from the S23 and the expandable memory sold me 🙂

I have the A53 and after updating all the way to 5.1 it runs really smooth. I also downloaded warzone mobile on it, and it plays flawlessly considering the graphics are still basic but I was impressed.

The only think I want is the realiabilty, ui experience and future proof phones. Samsung has it all and the promised android & security update is a big plus.

you can actually record video n main camera app and it's 4:3 1080p 30fps in photo tab, just long press that, and good to go.

My son bought me this phone in July, as my old Asus Zenphone Max 4 started to die. So far, the A34 works great. However, the A34 is only my 3rd smartphone, after the aforementioned Asus and before that a Nexus 4. So my smartphone experience is rather novice.

Sound is better if it's in a phone wallet. The sound vibrates the back panel, which is damped if in a wallet.

I am Sorry did you just say "Pretty Small Bezels" 😂 I really wanted a new phone, a massive upgrade from my Redmi 9A but it it looks too similar although it's way more powerful and reliable and has a stronger chip and better camera , it still looks the same so no thanks 😅, Iam just going to buy the S73, bigger screen and smaller bezels and a stronger chip set🤫, love the video breakdown tho🙏🏽👍🏽

How do you record video in 720p@480fps? according to GSMarenas specs "4K@30fps, 1080p@30/60fps, 720p@480fps" Yet in video settings only 30fps and 60fps options..

I bought this A34 cos my 2 year old A52 died on me. I'm not sacrificing much with the A34 and it's cheaper, faster. The notch is unnoticeable after a while.

is it normal to have 6-7 hrs battery life, every day? i have seen reviews that the phones last for 10 to up hours ;((

It depends,A34 can last 24hours in light usage like scrolling in soc med,but if you are playing with it- it normally last 6 hours especially when you're playing heavy games,but don't do it always it may destroy your battery i suggest after 1 game rest for about 10mins and set your graphics to low to mid and 60 refresh rate lastly avoid it by overheating

If you play a lot of modern games or do a lot of other demanding stuff like video editing, it will most likely last no longer than 6-7 hours of scree on time. Mine lasts easily for 10 hours of screen time and even 12 with normal use (phone, browsing, social media, maps, a few photos...)

I've just bought one of these, amazing value and way better than the A24. Only downsides are, no wireless charging, to be expected, and the teardrop notch which means people can see you're using a Samsung A device, rather than the punch hole. But that display is fantastic, and having 120hz refresh on an upper mid ranger is fair play to Samsung. Other minor moan, the 5000 battery drains faster than I would expect. Possibly because I watch too much high definition You Tube.😅

I have the A34 and when I take photos in the dark using the flash, it seems the flash and the shutter are slightly out of sync - the flash firing a few milliseconds before the shutter - the photos turning out darker than they should - is anyone else facing this? Is it something that will be fixed by an update or should I consider returning the phone?

I have the A34 and it's not out of sync for me, which makes me think you have a defective unit. Take it to customer care and they will replace it for you.

@@preston8872 For iPhones, you'll definitely have to go the renewed route and look for an iPhone 12 or 12 Pro. For Androids, brand new ones can be the Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G, Poco F3 or Realme GT Master Edition. If you don't mind renewed, then definitely check out the Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus. These aren't the best recommendations, but these are ones that I can think of off the top of my head

the notch is a very old style and it is not acceptable at all to buy a midrange phone in 2023 with a notch 😬😬

If it were the other way around and that ugly hole in the middle of the screen would have been the old style, you would now be saying that you would never buy a phone with such an old style hole in the screen :)) Personally, I find the notch a much more unified/monolithic design, being integrated in the frame, instead of that hole looking like some dirt or splash on the display...
