Honestly I really think no one should upgrade only one year after buying a smartphone. A good cycle could be between 3 or 4 years considering Samsung is giving 4 years of Android Updates.

Like me now with my galaxy 2019 A71. It is still very strong but lacking some important latest features now, like Android 14...i wish it could but No. Its battery is still very intact with battery health at an estimation of 85-90% compared to when it was new (i normally have a whole 12 hours of heavy use and i charge it at night, to 85% parameter for battery lifespan, and this 85% is what takes me a whole day of heavy use. (4500mah batt) Someone tell me, I was waiting to upgrade this year, maybe end, but i had sights at the A73 too, but then, I didn't like the A54 from last year but i see abit improvement in A55, but still it doesn't exactly feel that great vs A73. Im my country 🇰🇪, the A73 is still a whooping 150$ expensive than the new A55, but someone with the Camera experience can say if the A55 is better than the A73 or its same. The A55 will win for long OS updates but what else?

​@@kennedysamuel3148 Even A54 is quite better than A73 in terms of Nightography(but close in daylight) because A54 uses old flagship sensor IMX 766 while A73 uses midrange Samsung HM2 sensor. And A55 uses IMX 906 which is a noticable upgrade from A54 so it should smash A73 in terms of camera. A55 has better screen(it supports HDR10+), quite better build quality(Metal frame and Glass back), slighlty better battery life(Exynos 1480 is more efficient), worse design(the phone itself is thick and very heavy, bezels are thick), almost same performance(yes Exynos 1480 is not quite good)

I'm honestly hating on exynos chipsets, i have been waiting for a proper high midrange Samsung Snapdragon A series, and I don't think I'll be lucky this year. I don't like the A55 already, the M55 has a weak S7 gen 1 and has few things i would say its an upgrade from my A71 wth S730. I like 6.7" panel and and slim slabs and the M55 has both good ones too. I compared it to A73 but i surely can't tell if they have any significant differences... I may close my eyes and pick the M55, despite knowing that the F55 is also coming,but am sure, with the exynos. I surely am not sure which direction

Based on the videos I watched so far I found out: The A55 has sharper more saturated photos whilst the A35 is lightly cooler and more natural looking The A55 has slightly better looking night photos & videos The A35 has sharper , more natural looking selfies and slightly better battery life Both have good stabilization and audio when recording video and equally good speakers. For an everyday phone The A35 is 90% similar and with what you get with the A55. Would you agree with these? (As I'm planning to get one in next 24 hour) Cheers.

​@obentouwithmilktea agreed on paper the exynos seems better but in actual usage the dimensity does better overall. I'd say hold on a 2 to 3 years again let more powerful processors trickle down. Then upgrade. Get the A37 or A57 or A38 or A58. In no rush since the A34 isn't my main device. An s24 ultra is. The SD card support is a big deal for a lot on the A series. 256gb A34 paired with a 1tb sd card.

The Galaxy a35 is really good. I'm actually surprised. This might even be a better value for money than the a55, lol. Especially with that exynos 1380, which is what the a54 is using.

Brother, thank you. Ive been watching u for the last month cuz i need to get a new phone. I was aming for the Galaxy A25, but watching your vids, i realised that in my country, adding just a 50 extra euros to get the A35 would be more worth it with a processor almost twice as fast. Im currently stuck with my Galaxy M12 India. Great phone over all, but its 3-4 years old, and the only reason im changing it is cuz of lack of software features and the processor speed. The battery is still great and stuff (6000mAh) but everything else... eh.. Edit: I got the A35 5g, 8-256GB. Navy (ngl, i liked the ice blue better but they didnt have it in stock..). The phone is over all amazing, HUGE upgrade compared to the M12 India. The Super amoled display is amazing, camera and features aswell. The chipset is fast as hell. Ngl, best phone i had in a while.

@@Kviewshoursago-oc2ee one main thing that i chose the a35 over a25 is: The screen to body ratio is much better, so u get slimmer even bezzels, unlike the a25 that has that droplet and thick bottob bezzel. The build matererials, i prefer the glass back over the plastic one The performance per dollar ratio is much better on the a35 depending on where u live. In Serbia, i just added 80 bucks to get an a35 (256x8gb) because its twice as fast (doesnt depend on the storage ofc) and got it for 280. While the A25 was 200 with 128x8gb.. One thing, if u chose the a54 over a35, they are the same, but a35 is cheaper, more optimized and has one more year software support. The only differance for me is that 35 has better design, but a 54 is smaller.

@@_misterpanda thanks alot for your insightful comment. I ordered A35 yesterday 8G Ram. With huge storage capacity. I also come across it in supermarket where they display these phones for sell. I tried them both to be honest. And i have to say, damn i am really impressed with the 35 especially the camera quality. 25(6 ram) also impressed me as well. Still, i chose the 35 for its advanced software and better design. But to be honest, there is not that much difference between 25 and the 35, i mean yes the 35 is better but still, they are both goof phones with impressive features. 25 is much more better than what i expected.

WiFi 6 seems like the only thing that is an actual upgrade over the A34. I'll be keeping my A34 which performs well enough for my needs. Glass back makes no sense to me since I'll add a case to the phone anyway and never see or touch the back again.

Given that I still use the A32 I think this would be a great upgrade for me later this year. Especially since I appreciate the high refresh rate, brighter display and that it comes with AMOLED. I also enjoy editing photos I have taken on video games and adding a few touches to them to really make them pop. I also really enjoy taking photos and using Dolby Atmos alongside another app to really make music pop so this phone would be perfect.

If you run multiple benchmark test it will be close sometimes a34 will win and sometimes a35 will win.

Excellent review as always. By the way, I have an issue I need your assistance with. The 5g of my Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra does not work at all, even in locations with 5g coverage, such as Lagos and Kwara. Please, anyway you could decipher what the problem is? I have seen a few users with the same issues too, and they also don't know why it won't work despite the phone having 5g network.

There's zero wrong with the A35, it's a mid range phone with mid range features. Slightly expensive because of Samsung's extended OS support but that raises it above say Xiaomi products which have dreadful OS full of bloatware and have limited long term support...
