Been using this phone for over a year now and i like the battery lifr and its fast charging. The only issue I have with this phone is when playing mobile legends. It usually lags for 1-3 secs it affects my gameplay but I only play games when I'm bored so no biggie

Just purchased one of these phones. Very happy so far. I don't play games on my phone so the GPU is not an issue. Have had some issues with Samsung products in the past, but my S4 is still going strong with minimal screen burn in and a bit of battery degradation. Eight out of ten so far. Lolll a big step up from my Galaxy S4.

Something i notice when i use this phone, than the video recording suffers a lot in detail when theres less than optimal light compared to what u did, once i try to record indoor with sufficient lighting, it just not good

I think due to the powerful processor. In idle its the same as before, but heavy stuff takes charge away quickly. I came from.a j7 2017 and its kinda noticeable. But okay for day to day use.

I've seen side by side comparison of K20 pro vs A51. Turns out that although k20 opens every app just a micro second before A51, it really lags and falls miles behind when it comes to ram management and multi tasking. Moreover the camera on A51 is loads better. So still convinced about 9T pro/K20 pro. Any other options?

Hi. I currently have a Huawei Mate 20 Pro and looking for a companion (or a backup) phone to my Huawei. Looking to midrangers such as the Galaxy A51 and the Motorola One Zoom. Close third would be an old Galaxy S9+ or OnePlus 6T. My priorities are loud stereo speakers, OLED display, cameras with great selfies, great low light capabilities, natural/warm colours, less oversaturation, great stabilization, great audio recording, decent performance and a battery that will last more than a day. Really not a fan of their camera - dynamic range is good (if you don't mind oversaturation) but way, way too much noise reduction post-processing, very little detail in any condition but overcast daylight (detail is downright horrible even in a cloudy day time) - price actually not that bad though, you got Super AMOLED with very good colour accurate screen and also a headphone jack

My wife and I just upgraded from this trash phone to the Motorola 5G Stylus 2023. We had these phones for four years and they were a headache. When we first purchased them, we were simply looking for devices to replace our flagship Samsung phones with Verizon. We chose Straight Talk due to it's competitive priced plans. We were paying well over $400 a month with Verizon. And now pay under $90 with Straight Talk. The service with Straight Talk has been consistent and reliable. But, the A51 phones were absolute trash. They reset themselves all of the time. Even when were actively using the phone. Interrupting conversations and being very frustrating. They were super slow. They had random glitches that made apps freeze. Loading websites was excrutiating. And KZbin would not play films. But, the Moto 5G 2023 Stylus has been a god send. Everything that we hated about the Samsung A51 has been rectified. And I am an avid Samsung fan. I had many Note series phones, she had S series and other devices. I hated leaving the Samsung family. But I could not take the frustration that came with this device. Unless I can purchase another flagship device, I will never own another Samsung ever. Sorry Samsung.

Agreed. I've had the A51 for almost 4 years now and i have almost every problem you had. It's slow. Slow to screenshot, slow to switch to/from an app that displays video or camera footage, slow to answer calls... The problem is that the budget aspect of the A-series is the fact their CPU was made to be lower quality. But these consumers don't realise how much they need their phone to be fast, until they've tried to use it as their main and only phone.

I disagree, if it is a bad phone, like in this case then it's fine that they criticise it. Check the Xiaomi Redmi K30 Review for example, which is another midranger and they are really positive about it.

Spider Man Lots of affiliated Samsung influencers channels that will hype it. Compared to other phones in the price range it is average at best and if you are a Samsung fan that maybe enough. Looks a reasonable choice but looks like most other Samsung phones and a bit insipid and bland, like Samsung are just going through the motions. You can get a new OP6T for £50 more in the UK that will be better spec and faster with just as great updates. Tough to buy the A51 over the OP6T.

Major countries like US, UK e.t.c and countries like mine where theres no price drop at all no matter how old it is, there's no point buying it. The OP6T is 950$ here so compared to that the Samsung Galaxy A51 is 530$. Also the OP6T is old so samsung is better in this situation.

Something's wrong with that battery consumption, its not normal for a mid range processor(not power demanding) with that large of battery to get that kind of battery life in your test, even the previous A50 in your test manage to get well over 100hrs, so its not really the software issue alone, even a Pixel 3a with the stock Android experience which not the best when comes to power efficiency, and had smaller battery, did significantly better

I hate the new camera bump design seen in the Pixel 4 and now many of the newer Samsung models, which apparently is vaguely inspired by Apple's new design. They should have stuck with their trademark design and just develop it to make it look fitting for a new generation of phones, not ditch it completely.
