The A51 struggles in low light conditions. Photos are brighter than the S10 but are very blotchy. S10 remains sharp and focused, and even though the photos are darker, they can be adjusted to look both bright and clear.

I just got my a51 and I am debating returning it for the s10 just because im not thrilled with the selfie cam but I am used to my motorola g6 play selfie cam having a real led flash that can be used as a torch when taking selfies which makes you look a lot more "flawless" than the lack of lighting on the a51 but maybe i can correct that with a clip on selfiw light. My main issue is i was planning on starting a youtube channel and I was hoping i could start out using my cell phone and then if it goes well, invest in a canon rebel. Do you think the a51 or the s10 would work for youtube videos and if not, any phone recommendations that could do a good job for a budget of max $600

You can get unlocked or refurbished s10 for under $600. Personally, I would recommend the a51 if you have a smaller budget since it’s a lot cheaper and for the price, it is really worth it.

I own a S10+. Video is almost similar to iphone 11 quality, photos in my opinion a little bit better on the s10+. Always choose a flagship specs phone even last year's instead of a mid range, if it's in your budget of course. It will last you for more years and will do every job better.

A51 better in wide angle, S10 is mor deatiled in Zoomed.... most (my truth) needed is wide angle, S10 support 4k 60fps and records more surrounding audio nice for catch audio athmospäre... while the a51 is clearer voice. so its hard decision to make.. i woud make it on my needs... if i need a 4k 60cam realy for moovis i woud choose the S10 with this point of konowing, thanks for you work (btw, nice gf.) Edit i found out S10 make warmer photos, what i love in time of icecold displays.

samsung isn't great with low light but since the S10 has a superior processor, it would be the clear winner, low light performance depends entirely on the processor since tiny smartphone cameras can't get enough light, Samsung's software produces soft and noisy pictures in low light though, even in their flagships so if you're serious about taking night pictures or even indoor pictures, I would steer clear Samsung's offerings

it doesn't. my parents have the s10 and i have the a51 their camera is way better than mine for both daylight and night-time. which is one of the reasons im saving up for an s10 when our verizon contract is due for an upgrade.

Samsung A51 is best budget phone. I could multitask without lags. The Glastic that was samsung told, I'm not satisfied with the material. Easily it hets scratches. For the protection I applied a full body screen protector from gadgetshieldz

buy a gimbal and you can use for many phones and any camera on the phone. ois usually doesnt work with all cameras. and gimbal is much stable than any phone stabilization.
