to improve A50's fingerprint recognition, first go to settings, Display, then select the switch near the bottom that increases the screen sensitivity, then go register your fingerprints, and finally go back and switch the sensitivity switch back. Then you get noticeable improvement, but if your hands are sweaty or wet, well, it's still like the old fingerprint sensors. I've found that the A50's is at least more accurate than my ol moto g4's fingerprint sensor. Maybe not as good as my moto g6's but when hands are dry it's just fine.

My cousin and I just bought it mabe 2 days ago. I got to say, the finish and the look kinda gives you a flagship type phone (even though it is a glastic). The camera is really good. The battery with 4000 mha will last you through your day. Quick but, I don't know what will happen to it after some videos, photos, apps and document, and for how long. So, it makes sense if you don't want to spend an extra 100. Thanks for the feed back though👍

It makes sense if you are switching from an older device but not last years model. It might be worth it next year when the A52 comes out because by then it will be a bigger differance.

It's basically the exact same specs but you get more camera features and a nicer display. The chipset is basically the same and the loading times were different because the a51 runs Android 10 out of the box and the a50 currently runs on Android 9. The a50 is planned to have continued monthly security upsates and Android 10 with Samsung UI 2.0, which is a planned update for April.

Most tech youtubers only care about the flagships instead of these mid-range phones, and I appreciate you making this video. It would be interesting to see a battery test between these 2 phones..primarily because both have the same battery capacity in their specifications, but the software is different. I got the a50 like 90 days ago. In hindsight I would love to got the a51. But I'm coming from the Stylo 4. So I luv the 25 Meg camera. Vs the 13 Meg I was using. Even tho the Stylo took awesome photos for my needs. Now the 5meg camera wasn't good. As far as the edge app drawer. I had it on my s2, 3&4 and didn't use it AT ALL. So no big deal. I do like the macro cam but not a deal breaker. The a50 will get the update to Android 10 so I'm not angry. Only issue I have is the fingerprint scanner.. as far as the a51 I wouldn't try to get it until they made the US variant. I use Virgin Mobile for day to day service. But I have also decided to get another service because I can. Maybe Metro. Well no it will be metro by T-Mobile. Actually going to get the Sim tomorrow. So until I can do that with the a51. I WONT COMPLAIN. And no this isn't me trying to make myself feel better abt having the a50. Use the Stylo 4 for 30 days then use the a50 and tell how u feel. Typing this on my Galaxy A51. It's a beautiful phone but if you want to pick one up for yourself then please get the 6GB RAM version. The processor here is not the strongest so you should have atleast 6 gigs of RAM. Luckily, in my country, the 6GB version is the base model (which I have right now) and the 8GB version has been launched. If the 6GB/8GB version is not available in your region I would suggest to steer clear of the 4GB version.

S8 is still better than the a50 better screen 1440 p Killerzx is clueless. My other half is using the Note 8 the processor is also faster 835. Cameras are also better. She has 9.0 pie won't get 10. It still gets security updates. it has 6 gigs of ram and the fingerprint scanner is spot on. If your cheap and want a great phone that's, not for your kids or a backup I would get the Note 9 that can be found on eBay with a Square Trade warranty for two years for about 400-440.00. My troll is this I have the Note 10 Plus and the One Plus 7 Pro which both are better than either of these phones. I buy the A-series for my kids if they want better they can get a JOB!
