Whenever I look for a new phone u always ask for what I am looking for and the most feature I use and I decided to take pexil 4a since the camera is just godly for the price and I'm starting to upload more pictures in Instagram because of that.

If you can wait for the Google Pixel 6 in October 2021, go with that, it'll have ip68 water resistant, gorilla Glass front and back, wireless charging, first 120 Hertz, it's own chipset called White Chapel, similar to Snapdragon 888, hopefully a headphone jack, a new camera setup, the best a GOOGLE pixel ever had, it'll stack up against the Samsung s21 series phones, and have a charger, under $699, if you can't wait until October, the Google Pixel 4a 5g is still a excellent phone! Maybe even look at the oneplus 9 phones, there great too, I have lg g8 in red, cool looking phone and performance, but I finally got my 2 year lease paid off, and my first issues of course happen when I finally paid it off, charging issues on lg g8, have to wiggle cord on port to charge, I was to wait for Google pixel 6, I'm going to T-Mobile store to see if they can fix the charging problems for free, if not, I'm getting Oneplus 9, it has better specs and similar Android updates up to 3 years, a fast 65 watt charger, wireless charging, ip68 water resistant and sadly no headphone jack, but I can buy a adapter for that matter, for $729, Samsung is good, but had a Samsung s7 edge and it got really hot and the charging port got messed up and screen had a mysterious, diagonal crack on the screen, if I was a customer wanting to upgrade, I go with the Google Pixel 6 that comes out in October, the Google Pixel 4a 5g or Oneplus 9! It really comes to preference, what you can afford and how soon you need a phone!

I used pixel 4a before & turn to samsung a52s.I must admit I miss the pixel snappy software but samsung also not to bad especially the customization.SOT almost the same but both not good for gaming.I live in Malaysia so we dont really have Google support especially if something damages as my 4a screen crack & replacing screen panel is problematic

What about pixels water resistance I've read that speakers can get damaged easily, also pixel has no sdcard reader and the brigness of the display would suggest that samsung might be a winner here. Would you know if these phones can do 1080p 120/240fps video?

I did mention the A52 display is better. Pixel records 120 or 240fps slow motion. A52 I believe only does 1080p @ 120fps, but it also has 720p @ 960fps super slow-mo.

Both are good phones. I am a Samsung fan. For finger print sensors,I have really got to like the under display sensor on my a51. I use a stand for my phone alot,so I don't have to pick it up to use the sensor.

Samsung's displays are the best on the market, but there are pros and cons. On the one hand, you get a high quality display with bright colours, but on the other hand Samsung's displays (not all of them, but A52 defo) flicker a lot, this is not good for the health of your eyes. Btw, pixel's displays (except pixel 5) also flicker, but they have almost twice lower flickering rate than Samsung A52

I was excited to get the 4a5g. It was great for 35 days, then became a glitch machine. It is the worst handset I have ever owned. Inside a protective case, it dropped once and the screen cracked. So much for gorilla glass. I have had it for 10 months, done 3 factory resets, and gotten no service from Google. The poor performance with calls has also been experienced by 3 of my friends as well. Be aware Google has discontinued this model already. I am going back to Samsung. BUYER BEWARE THE PIXEL 4A 5G.

Finally someone said it! I just returned my 4a 5g this weekend. I loved the camera, but after a few updates it began to glitch. I've had it less than a year. I started taking screenshots whenever I got an error message. Luckily I still had it insured and I was able to return it. I'm trying to decide between the A52 or the one plus 8t.

Samsung is always good at display, but Google pixel always had great camera and update and security, wait till Google Pixel 6 comes out, I heard the Pixel 6 will be totally different and be the best phone of 2021, comparable to Samsung s21 ultra and Oneplus 9 Pro, under $700, the Google Pixel 6 that comes out in October 2021 will embarrass these two phones here, Samsung A52 and Google Pixel 4a 5g! I was going to wait for Pixel 6, but I finally paid off my lg g8 and it's having it first problems, charging, of course when I paid it off two days ago, I may to upgrade early, let's see what T-Mobile store people say, if I need to upgrade now I'll get Oneplus 9, for better specs, better charging and similar Android updates 3years as pixel, or if I can fix charging problem at store, wait for Google Pixel 6!

I have and it's mixed, some give it to one or the other, especially in performance vs gaming vs. efficiency. Either way, as stated, they're very comparable and with actual usage there's no noticeable difference.
