I have both. There is no comparison when it comes to photography. The Galaxy S22 is worlds better in camera use. The S22 is a lot faster too. The A53 has awesome speakers and is overall a great phone. It is not terribly slow but the Galaxy S22 is like lightning in comparison.

I have the A30s, and would not have replaced it with the S22+, if it were not for the wireless charging and waterproof and dust rating of the S22 series. After having forgotten my Note 9 outside overnight, it rained the whole night, and watching a puddle start flashing when I phoned it to find it, and the relief that it was fine after spending the night in water, I knew I would have to move away from midrangers back to flagships ..

The extra processing power in s22 won't make it any faster in every day use. The extra speed will only improve speed for rendering videos, saving large files etc. It won't make standard apps like instagram etc. any faster.

100% false, my GF owns a A53 and it's super sluggish compared to my S22.. not only in games, but in general use. Also, the A53 takes 10 times longer to start up, and the 1300 Nits screen brightnes of the S22 blows the A53 out of the water with 800 Nits. The S22 is just a lot more snappy and faster all around. Don't fool yourself, just because you don't want to spend a bit of extra money doesn't mean you get a comparable device.

It lagged a little bit but s22 lags too just like every device Samsung makes. Why did you just started talking about screen brightness and start up time? That's not what I was talking about. Of course start up time is faster on a faster CPU, so it's video rendering, editing RAW photos, playing video games..... EDUCATE YOURSELF! And don't assume that someone owns a cheaper device only because he/she says something good about it.

you can also consider Oneplus Nord 2 if you find a good offer.. it has super fast charging, manageable 6.4" screen, and camera with OIS, and dimensity 1200 is very good... if you care more about software updates, maybe you can get the a53 or a52s

differencce is just black level dymaic almoed is is OLED but more 2x better. If you go in the bathroom play a video 4k black level video, your gonna see alot more realistic then super amoled.

S22 battery sucks. I have old A8 2018 and all my phones are always on battey saver, but on my older phone i get more battery life out than s22. Sound on s22 is quite good, i like feel of stereo sound out of phone. But camera is killer on s22 man. ;)

There is absolutely no comparison especially for camera. I was talked into the A53 because a new carrier deal and only $49 but the camera is HORRIBLE and I went and got a Galaxy S22 from Best Buy. The camera is slow to take photos and then you get a lot of blurry photos of moving objects but the colors come off random and crazy. I can take photos of grass. One photo will be lime green and the other one crazy saturated. The A53 is noticeably slower but that's to be expected. The speaker was surprisingly great for the A53. I was surprised and the battery life is better for the A53.

The A53 is incredible value for money, But it's not the standard of the S22. I've had many Samsung phones, the "A" series phones are nowhere near the standard of the "S" series. This A53 is maybe comparable with a few years old S series phone S9/S10 e.t.c.

@@RedskullPro There is no way you got 8 hours SOT on S22. Every other reviewer has critisized the battery and SOT has been reported to be 4 or 5 hours max. It has 3700mAh against 5000mAh on A53. Are you sure you were doing the exact same things on both devices?

For seeing both in real life. How can they look th same? I can tell them apart just by glance. They look nothing alike. And personnally i did not notice any freeze on my s22. It was a bit laggy at first but after installing my apps and updating the phone i can barely notice any lag at least nothing major. It is just working fine.

One thing you didn't mention was that the A53 looks like the 120hz refresh rate is fixed whereas the S22 it's adaptive. Also, 8h almost 9hrs SOT on the S22?? That's crazy, was this on 60hz? What are your settings besides wifi on? I think most ppl are getting half of that if they're lucky.

The thing is as soon as you use 4g or 5g, it drops 40%. On wifi only it gets good battery...of course this is not a real world usage test. I could kill the battery on both phones in 3h

Depends what you do with it. For this particular test I had both phones on wifi only, no 4g/5g and play youtube videos with the screen at max brightness. Regular day to day usage is around 5h SOT
