I just bought the a34 and I'm very happy with the device. For me it was the screen size and display .A34 screen actually looks better then the a54 when you compare them both side by side. Camera is solid. If you can get over the tear drop notch the a34 is the go. The notch doesn't bother me at all by the way. Overall a very solid unit . Very happy.

When you charge this phones while using them do you notice battery percentage to go up or the charger is only able to keep the current battery level? For example if you have 50% battery and plug in the charger and at the same time watch KZbin what will happen after e.g. 30 minutes of watching? Will the battery be still at 50% or will it be higher?

I bought the A34. I compare the A54 and A34 side buy side no difference at all even the camera. A34 HAS A MEDIATEK processor w/c is so smooth and much better than exynos. I feel like I'm using a flagship phone.

Processor, ram "cameras" storage are the features I tend to focus on these days if the camera isn't working well like for example if the shutter button stutters or the phone is too slow and sluggish it wouldn't be a good upgrade I'm hoping to avoid getting a bad phone or a phone worse than current phone, and suffering buyers remorse, the A 54 is slightly expensive might have to hold off for a discount or sale but I think that one might be the one but I'm also curious about the A 34 though the drop notch looks unattractive vs current phone which has a hole punch but it's a small thing I could get over if the phone is powerful enough, great review thanks.

why do people regularly think higher megapixel means better camera, my 16mp camera takes better pics still. people need to know megapixel doesnt really matter as much nowadays , all it means is the higher the megapixel the further zoom into the picture, the less pixels you will see, doesnt have to do with the image quality really, the thing to actually look out for is the resolution and how much post processing it does

I think it's because people don't understand MP and camera sensor types coupled with software etc

Because people believe more pixels is what gives better quality. More pixels can even have a detrimental effect on picture quality, as they have to fit more pixels in the same physical space, thus smaller pixels, thus less light gathered, thus photos that look like watercolor paint when zoomed in, with no details. My 7 year old Samsung S7's 12MP camera still takes better photos than the 48MP of the A34 which I bought recently. But marketing always wins, it's a race to give sheeple what they ask fore - more and more pixels! Few people know that Full HD resolution, for example, actually means 2MP and 4K means 8MP - you don't really need more than that!

in Africa, the A54 is 256Gb and the A34 is 128GB Storage. with 6GB to 8GB RAM each

Help me to choice😭. I really like the camera of A54, the reason why I want to upgrade to midrange because of better camera. However, I also like playing games up to 2-4 hours every weekend when there's no class 'cause I'm a student. Lot of people A34 is better when it comes to gaming, because of its chipset. Mediatek is a pioneer in making chipsets it comes from taiwan the home of chipsets . They know how to build chipsets . On the other hand we have exynos who tries to make chipsets just to save money cut costs no need to buy from snapdragon or mediatek . Now you gonna tell me lol exynos is great 😅😅😅 lets be honest samsung all that money it generates cant make premium chipsets . I think they take it for granted .

A34 biggest con is the outdated waterdrop selfie notch on the display. That is such a big turn off

You can make it with all the flagship specs you want. If it doesn't have a flagship processor, it's fucking pointless but people who buy Samsung phones are all about the specs they like seeing that 120 hertz or fresh rate they look right past the exynos 1380 like putting a 120 Hertz refresh AMOLED screen big battery decent cameras soft support ... an exynos 1380 ..wah wah wah giving a mid-ranger a high refresh rate on a mid-range processor is hilarious ... Like that phone should cost 250 tops...
