Samsung Galaxy A55 5G - Complete Review!

That's a proper phone right there. I've been using it for almost 2 months. Performance wise, battery life and the display is absolutely perfect 👌 I actually feel like I just jumped into a Flagship cz I was using A31 since 2020 😂 🇿🇦

Due to reasons, this year I've had the S24U, P8P and iPhone 15. Finally ended up with the A55 very recently. Due to my current circumstances, this will likely be my only phone until next year. Surprisingly, its been a very great phone, enough to make me quit salivating over the big-and-bold flagships. This and something's like the Pixel a-series are proof that smartphone tech has kinda reached a point of diminishing returns. Performance at this tier is more than capable unless you are really pushing it with gaming. The main cameras are more than usable for 90+% of smartphone users. But the battery life... is just so good on this! Somehow the 5000mAh + Exynos 1480 is giving wayy more battery life than anything else other than the S24U. My only gripe is that Samsung is clearly gimping this phone to artificially segmentize their lineup for obvious reasons. If they had given this slightly better performance, a better secondary camera, given it access to Galaxy AI (for what's its worth...) and/or reduce the bezel ever so slightly, the A55 would cannibalize a lot of the competition including its own brothers A35 and S23FE. The A55 is clearly a modest midrange performer deserving to finally be the successor to the infamous A52s. I don't think its worth the MSRP price if budget against competition is a concern but on deal? Yes its a worthy phone.

I own the A15 5G, the A55 5G, the iPhone 11 Pro Max and I enjoy switching between the 3 but I seem to be using Samsung the most. I like tech so I'm not loyal to any one brand but with these A series phones you get a lot of bang for your buck and thats a great thing. I use Mint Mobile as my carrier on all 3 phones and everything is working fine without any issues.

(This has been edited) You might have mentioned that Samsung is not selling this phone in the US. The phones for sale are the Latin American phones. Samsung apparently wants users in the US to buy the S23fe . Amazon is selling the S23fe (Aug 4, 2024) for $599 USD. I purchased an A54 5g recently since I don't like the idea of purchasing an A55 from Latin America.

S23 FE costs 400 dollars new here in Brazil and comes with a charger. The a55 costs 300 dollars new

Don't buy Samsung galaxy A56 5g.... no wi-fi 7. no battery cycles 1800. With heating issue. no IP 69. no battery charger 45 watts. Expensive. Date. 2024. 07.27
