Galaxy Y was my first smart phone. It could play 3d games but not the good ones(like - avatar, assassins creed etc) ..so, I rooted my phone after 30days....not for the roms exactly but to get the super user permissions. There was an app called chainfire which can mask the real brodcom gpu to a better gpu, increase clock speed etc. Then it was able to play all those good games, I remember playing all those AAA kind of games on that mobile, it was so amazing.

i really remember using chainfire on my galaxy s4, was really awesome, somehow i still dont know how its able to crank up the performance by that much 😂

Galaxy Ace was my first ever phone! I still remember how awesome the community support was and how custom ROMs took it all the way from Froyo to Kitkat! I had the OG Snapdragon version BTW (arguably the better variant).

Unfortunately, the community didn't do much for the Broadcom variant, which was more energy efficient and better for gaming than the older variant, that's why my comment on keeping it on the stock rom. Anyway, thanks for watching!

@@Kevin4u2c Yeah, the Broadcomm variant had a better chipset, but was unfortunately hindered by the lack of open-source drivers. The custom ROMs on the Qualcomm side (mainly CyanogenMod) were far more stable and actually usable as a daily driver after issues with the camera were solved.

My brother had the Galaxy Ace and I had the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray. I loved the design of the Ray and it had more RAM which was very much needed to run newer apps.

Galaxy Ace was my first android phone coming from a Nokia C6 in mid 2012. Absolutely loved it, especially when I started rooting and installing roms/hacks until I moved to an iPhone 4 a year later!! Brought back some good memories watching this video :)

Speaking about battery, I recently got a lenovo A319 with 1500 mAh battery capacity , and I was surprised to find out that it holds better than the 2050 found in its nefew A1000

I own a Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, it was my very first phone, my aunt gave me that phone when I was still a primary school student. The phone still works to this day, even with the half-functioning screen, which is the reason why I can't install custom rom. I use it as my music player.

@@Vinni-2K You are right. I wanted to play Temple Run on it but it was not compatible to the phone. And the camera was so bad. Like you have to be very steady to take clear, not blurred photos.

I always dream of owning this smartphone. With the first Galaxy Family: Ace, Fit and Mini. I can't afford this back in the days because I'm still a student. But now, I currently have the S23U, time flies so fast.

I am currently still using my Galaxy Ace 2, works fine, battery lasts quite a while, it has fallen down stairs, been knocked of tables, been dropped into multiple bowls of cereal when I was having breakfast before school, fell into a muddy puddle once, got one of the corners melted when it accidentally got shoved into my soldering iron, and for a period of about 4 years the battery was completely drained because I bought a different phone, when that one broke last year I went back to the Samsung, I've decided not to even buy a new phone anymore, I'll just see how long this one lasts.

Not gonna lie in 2024 I still have it! I have the model Samsung galaxy ace GT S5830i it is limited power with 100MB space free without any browser so just forget browsing the internet it can run games like the alpha version of Minecraft The OG game of lyfoes Subway surfers and temple run it is been upgraded to CM. 11 which is Android 4.4 so it can run KZbin on web but it just shows error can't play the video on app old version say upgrade to a new version and new version says Google play services not supported so I don't know what to do with it😮

How to run whatsapp in it now that's all i need from it to use playstote i need an email and when they keep saying that the password is wrong even tho i changed to just for this occasion i also tried making a new one using this phone and also didn't work i tried downloading it apk from google but it didn't allow me no matter what I tried sharing it with bleautooth from another phone but it didn't appear at all in the bluetooth active list And now i'm trying to move it from a pc to the phone with an usb-c cable Hope that'll work But if i didn't How can i use it nowdays run whatsapp on it and stuff how tocupgrade it Cuz even youtube dosen't work it's ther but it dosen't function at all

How did you install subway surfers in galaxy ace Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread? Can u please send link of how you downloaded it(with or without play store since it stopped working from 27 September 2021 now)... I have a samsung Galaxy ace in which I can't even install Subway surfers version 1.0 armv6 apk ... Mediafire is not supported in my browser from which many people are installing subway surfers
