I miss android phones around 2013-2018 because they are basic and i really miss that is convenient to remove batteries and change them without plugging in to the charger, i miss when iphones used to have home buttons until when the iphone X released they switch to the virtual home button

Changing removable batteries were a security risk outside the world, it's the reason why it got removed because too much batteries made too much ewaste But I do miss how were Android phones back then

I use a LG G3 as a backup phone. Which also came the same year as the Note 4. Surprisingly my G3 beaten my mother's Oppo Camera. Old flagships is always better than new budget phones XD.

Back in 2015 i bought this phone and i still have it. Works perfectly Got a few new batteries for it but since its removeable... Damn thing still holds up today. Its fast, screen is beautiful and the camera... could keep up with flagships from 2024

1:10 the first Galaxy with a metal frame was the Galaxy Alpha which was a whole month older than the Note 4. (But it was quickly forgotten which is why I'm not surprised to see this mistake)

i still have two of them, and there still used for security cameras now lol, but the camera sensor is still amazing, that 16 mega pixel cameras still nails it, it might not have the same color accuracy, but nothing editing cant fix honestly, its still on par with the cameras of today

This was my phone until 2020, the only problem is that the emmc memory dissolder itself bricking the phone... Thanks samsung to put the temp limit at more than 100 degree...😑

100 degrees is too hot. They should limit it if it reached 75C which is the burning point. My phones shutdown at 70C due to overheating.

I still have my Note 4 somewhere, I had mix feeling about it. I owned a Surface Pro using the same Wacom EMR pen technology making an awesome combo. But my unit had abysmal network reception and lost network easily and had worst internet speeds than my previous Nexus 4 which had an hacked modem for unsupported LTE on a single band. Curiously, this issue would be fixed when I rooted my device with a Note 5 ROM, finally making this device legendary.

All I'm missing is the Note 20 Note 10 Lite and Note 10, then I have ALL the Galaxy Note devices that were available. I even have 3 Note 7 and 2 Note Fan Editon but the Galaxy Note 4 and Note Edge were so beautiful devices! Too bad they have the problem with the EMMC 😢

It's the best Note of all time. It has all the practical features I want and need. Phone jack, expandable storage via SDCard, removable battery. Can be rooted relatively safely. Tons of custom OS. I replaced its battery with 9900mah and with debloated ROM it last me 9 days of normal usage and freaking 4 weeks of standby mode. I still have it. Though it outlived its usefulness it is working today.

The perfect set of features. User swappable batteries, MicroSD, Infrared, AND a 3.5mm Jack!! Now they just remove all the features including the ability to sideload apps I hear. Smartphones kind of suck now. Locked down with no real way to make them yours.

This is legit my dream smartphone back in the day. I always check stores who had a demo and tried saving for it. I didn’t. And now I’m daily driving a Note 20 ultra and couldn’t be happier as I have been stuck using iPhone. It was a nice upgrade and a bit detox on iOS

I had this phone but there were some issues with aluminium frame and glass screen. My phone screen cracked in my pocket with very little pressure. Before that I had Note 2 for over a year with no issues.

My uncle was using note 4 on 2015 and IT WAS COMPLETELY PERFECT i mean 1440 amoled and good processor was making it the beast but the down side is its heating like HELL

I am surprised to see a review after so many years I have 2 models (with exynos) exactly like your others but functional and 2 edge I plan to modify them and put a modern battery with a larger capacity Honestly, you should install a custom ROM, you can feel the difference in speed

I love this phone so much but I stupidly import 16GB model from hong kong at that time because I want dual sim support but now it suffers from low storage and hardly any stable custom rom with dual sim support 😅

It should be noted that the exynos version also can't run any 64bit software. The bootloader, kernel are all 32bit. The one I have is the N910H, it's one of the exynos versions and it's the only version of Note 4 without LTE. When I was using an android 11 custom rom it would get so hot while using it especially if I tried to game on it, I remember seeing 98C on it. It heats up way less on the stock rom so that's what I am running. Also samsung put anti rollback on the exynos versions so if it has been updated to 5.1.1 or above it can't be downgraded. Only the qualcomm version can be downgraded to 4.4.4 and 5.0.1. Now it's just my backup phone but it's not too bad. But I need to replace the battery lol, the performance dips at around 50-60% and at around 15% it starts losing cellular signal.

i have SM-N920C Note 4 witch is the Camborian model of it and its Exynos. and you can run 64 bit software if you install an S6 kernel and firmware

The Galaxy Note 4 was the peak of Samsung, but I'd say the LG V20 was the final "all features on deck" Android Flagship. Also these days I just love the old Touchwiz Design. Its way friendlier and just more fun to use than the modern UIs.

I wanted to keep the spen features and since android 6 is still pretty usable in 2024, I decided to stick with this version. Maybe in the future when android 6 becomes unusable, I will think of using a custom ROM. Anyway, thanks for watching!

you can still use it. camera is great, proccessor is good, display is excelent, software is aslo excelent (im trashing on Android 14), puls you get the S Pen. i have Note 10 Plus and while i can disconnect the battery, i cant replace it so i have a bad experience, cameras arent great on it display is too tall, Android 11 doesnt have much backwards compatability, aslo Touchwiz Android 11 is not as good as Touchwiz Nature 4.5 on the Note 4. if i get an Exynos one i will have use it since its a great phone
