Most spammers don't have a number anymore you need to block a name/word. It does not seem possible anymore to block names/type in letters and block phrase words and companies from spamming and advertising. I bet Samsung recieved a lot of money to make it not possible to stop this mass advertising by large companies.

Have done all you suggested but it's still rings in on my phone but it does stop after a half a dozen rings. By then I've already picked it up, so it really doesn't do any good to block them. I wished it would not play a blocked call at all!

Just to note, after looking through their terms of service for Hiya, they use your phone number for more specific advertising... in order words, they use your data for marketing. Also, if you are in Europe, they give your number over to America, where the data protection laws are pretty crappy

No...the data protection laws are non-existent here so corporations can continue to rob all the wealth from people. It's a 13 BILLION dollar a year business to companies that they get for free, and then ruin every type of communication we use. Snail mail, TV, phones, radio, computers and on it goes with ads almost no one wants.

Yup this is what Google phones are good for. They do all this call filtering without paying extra for it and show the exact full names. I currently have the Fold 6 and I still have to pay Verizon call filter pro just to get something that was automatically free on my Pixel 7.

No one seems to have the answer to that .I am.fed up deleting silent blocked v mail calls .in the end I turned off my v mail .Not very helpful now as my ok contacts can not leave me a v mail.

Sad that you cannot block numbers calling you from a specific country. I keep getting called lately by various numbers from a country I don't know anyone nor that I ever really go to, it would be so much better to be able to throw in just a country number code and block anything coming in automatically. Now I have to manually block and not pick up a different phone number every day.

Does not work because the same callers creates a new number every time they call.. so if you block 1, he's already calling you from a new number so it's not gonna work.. & they are using local numbers
