Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

The short focus range on your camera is terribly distracting. Might be nice for movie production, but when only 20% of the screen is in focus at any given time, it makes it very difficult to see the whole picture.

I've tried multiple of these tablets in the Samsung stores, what I saw was the lags, in the home screen, when swiping through pages, it starts to lag. I wasn't quite impressed with that, overall, it's a great tablet for productivity. I've used the iPad 2 & 3 for years and I've got kinda bored with the iPads the same over and over again except its performance.

I've been dyingggg for the 8.0 because of the size but that device is beautiful in every way !!! Now if they could just come out with a Note 8.0 2014 edition with that same design and better res screen and a 32g options , I wouldn't even consider the 14 edition . So here's to hoping for a baby Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition aka a Galaxy Note 8.0 2014 edition

looks like the best tablet ever. but since I switched to Note series phones and sold my iPad 3 I don't really miss tablets all that much. I love my Kindle Paperwhite but I still don't really understand what the point of a tablet is. I think I would rather get a smartwatch.

i made the comment because i have Note 3 and i previously had both an iPhone and an iPad and for me Note 3 is better than having both of them. i would still like a 13" tablet with 4K resolution screen though.

Note 3 has better camera, several features mentioned in this video that are absent on Note 10.1 and mine fits in my pocket no problem ( except when i ride a bike, then i use a fanny pack LOL )

Nexus 10 has the same resolution but the colour is washed out. Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition's colours looksmore vibrant. So, I think you cannot say they are the same quality screen.

You have the Wifi version, so it's not the Snapdragon 800, but it's an Exynos SoC

The people saying "RIP iPad" and such are people who probably don't own these tablets anyway, so just ignore them. Most people who make comments like that have probably never owned a tablet. In my opinion, this is a GREAT tablet. I've been a Samsung customer for a long time. I decided to make a change. It came down to this tablet or the iPad Air. Most thought I'd go with Samsung again. After a lot of research, I chose the iPad Air. Both tablets are great, but for 2 different types of users!

I'm in the market for a new tablet but this is extremely overpriced for a oversized Note 3 bloated with Touchwiz and locked down by Knox. A dreadful review! It's probably a great tablet, but you jabbered on like a machine gun, and continually flicked screens about for no real reason so I had to just close me eyes. The review said nothing about the the main strength of the Note. If you think a Nexus and Note are similar, just because they're fast and nifty, you've completely missed the defining differences between the two, none of which you mentioned. It's not the snapdragon 800 cpu. It's this: Exynos® 1.9GHz Quad Processor + 1.3 GHz Quad Processor. From samsungs website. The snapdragon is about 20-30% faster

I hear that a new Google Nexus 10 will be released soon like in November which Im more than certain will be another prized tablet. So I wonder which tablet would be better? I'd like to see reviews to the email applications (gmail, exchange, etc). I use it a lot. A tablet for me is web, movies and email (exchange - work - gmail and outlook). All the reviewers spend a lot of time analyzing the cameras and scroll a lot but reviewing what matter (what people that really do need a tablet care - movies - email - interne... not.

How is a note 3 better exactly? My s4 works just fine as a smart phone. I'm in the market for a tablet, not a phablet. If I wanted something to "fit" in my pocket than I would get an iphone because a note 3 does not fit. My s4 barely fits.

I'm confused. All other reviews say that the non LTE model is the Exynos processor. Don't know that the LTE version is out yet and it would be the Snapdragon processor. For verification, which processor is in the current wifi model?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is the best tablet of 2013 and 2014. The biggest advantage of the 10.1 is the digital stylus which allows for taking notes and then translates it to digital text. FORZA SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS!

The spec is really good, but I saw in The Verge review that it's realllllllly slow when one uses it for it real. For example, some new features like the samsung-flipboard thingy lags A LOT if you flip pages rapidly.

I was thinking the same thing. I think John V was mistaken with his statement as only the LTE models will use the Snapdragon and I saw no evidence of a sim card slot when he examined all edges of the device.

Going between this and the Sony Xperia. New to tablets, looking for something my g/f and I can share (She cooks/is an artist, while I'm a gamer, musician and browser). Xperia seemed nice with the sleek thin look and the water resistant is definitely a + when it comes to cooking, but it doesn't have a stylus and I'm not sure if it is pressure sensitive like this tablet for her art stuff. Hmm.

The main reason iPad is better is the enormous optimised app selection. I love the functions of the 10.1 but not their android app fit tablet form factor. Also Apples hardware to function optimisation is a lot better - 10.1 seems higher specced however falls behind in real time use. iPad not yet ready to be knocked off it perch as king of tablets.

i have the original note 10.1, the previous version of this and i love it. i'm thinking of upgrading this newer version but i might actually wait till the third comes out as mine still does everything i would ever need to do on it, i love messing with audio apps like edjing and g-stomper, read ebooks on google books, draw with the pen on sketch pro, and lots of gaming as well, everything is smooth and great.
