Pocket PC and Palm phones had stylus' built in like 14-15 years ago. Does that mean they're better than any current phone that does't have an additional writing tool? Not to mention anyone can purchase and use a stylus with their smartphone. The difference, is that the Note allows you storage on the phone body for the stylus and integrated software for the s-pen. Not hating on the Note 4, I actually have one and it's the best smartphone currently on the market, in my opinion.

Anonymouslives it's not just a stylus, it's soooo much more than that. The stylus on the old plams weren't pressure sensitive and couldn't do anything expect write on a screen. The S pen functions as a cut and paste too, it transcribes script and print to text, and so many other things that you can't possibly compare it to a palm treo or old school stylus.

People that never used a note says: why would the note need a stylus? And the note and the s-pen works hand and hand. Now I'm sure with another phone with a quad HD display (nexus 6, iPhone 6+, LG G3)wouldn't need an s-pen and neither does the note series. But that's the name and brand of the phone that's under Samsung. And the s-pen adds way more features that a normal phablet wouldn't have.

Even though I free that Samsung and android phones alike can and some are better than the iPhone, I still like the iPhone. I've been using my apple account for a little over 6 years and I don't think I want to switch phones. If I didn't have a choice I wouldn't be mad but I just like the way Apple systems run. I like the ui.

Loved the video Floss. There is one thing you mentioned that stuck with me during the comparison. It's when you called the iPhone "boring". That one word summed up my experience I had with the iPhone 6 before getting the Note 4. I never find myself bored with the Note and I'm on my third one. I can only tolerate iPhones for a few weeks before I get tired of the experience.

Thanks for the tips about turning off the SVoice and animations thru Developer options. I have the Note 3 and not sure I'm gonna be upgrading just yet, but those tips did seem to speed up my phone.

Great review! One of the best (if not the best) I've seen thus far. A couple things tho: 1) You mentioned the iphone 6 plus buttons have a "click" sound when pressed, deeming them higher quality. Well, my Note 4 has the same clicking sound as they are made from aluminum as well. 2) You mentioned the "sharp edges" on the Note get annoying after some time. I beg to differ. The phone feels comfortable and very high quality in my hand even after several hours of usage. Of course, this is only my opinion based off my personal experience with the device. Everything else is spot on!

I had the Note 2 and sold it and I have regretted it every day since. I think the Note 4 will be my next device. I released 2 custom ROMs for the Note 2 on XDA (aka JohnCorleone) and I always got 8 hours of screen time but my ROMs always had all inverted apps included and I debloated the carrier apps (had an add on flashable extra for those who wanted them) I am pretty sure that those who root and use Team Blackout inverted apps can pull 10 hours of screen time on the regular. Inverted apps on SAMOLED screens yield 40% more screen on time. Also the phone just looks sexier but that last part is just my opinion. I just thought I would mention some pro tips for those who root. Keep it up with the great reviews Floss! You always give honest reviews and its even better that you are buying the devices so your opinions are real, not swayed by a sponsor
