Overall the iPhone XS Max provides better dynamic range, tone, and color across all its modes both in photo and video. The S10 has some good tricks but they seem inconsistent. If you want a solid experience that just works. Apple all the way.

Pictures are pretty equal, I was surprised at the audio difference in favor of the Samsung. I think the biggest win is that video stabilizer, it’s definitely not an always-on feature but the capabilities are sick.

JM TechReview this is the most logical answer. It's honestly situational with any phone camera depending on the conditions in the day,how you hold it, and just all types of things that can vary with each image. Both are great cameras Anna for average shots like use normal everyday people take they both will do the job. I'm waiting until next month to trade in my 8 plus for the white ceramic s10+

You can go wrong if you choose an iphome over the s10 plus. The s10 plus is a better phone in general you are free to do whatever you want as far as 3rd party apps and customizations. And the camera is better, not to say that iphone xs is not good but the s10 plus camera is proven to be better already.

largon 03 Oh, come on... Most people don‘t care about customisation or 3rd party apps. If you want an iPhone you care about an easy to use, fluid and reliable experience and lots of software updates. If you want anything else on Android you may want to pay less, and you get more options of what you can do. But not everybody wants that, some need ease of use and reliability more than anything else and pay the higher price. And thats why people use iPhone. So you can‘t go wrong with either. To say you go wrong on buying an iPhone is just plain biased and stupid.

I can't declare a clear winner, but I don't like the way samsung cancel out the shadows in some pictures...i mean yea ok, you can see more detail in dark areas...but that just look so unreal... Samsungs pictures often look like plastic But overall its a great camera, dont get me wrong, I just prefer iPhone's camera

I’ll keep my XS Max. Don’t need an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, or PowerShare or any other gimmicky “features”. The novelty wears off quick. Most people won’t use any of those features. Face ID is fast and secure for me. My camera is awesome too.

Well, like he said, you can then off scene optimizer to make pictures look less filtered like the iPhone. He also mentioned that scene optimizer does better on flower shots and "you need to get to know the s10 cameras so you have a better idea of how to use the camera system". I have the note 9 and sometimes that scene optimizer bites you in the ass by oversaturating the colors. When I turn it off, it's very comparable to my iPhone X which has flatter/dull images when it come to colors but if I keep it off all the time, I have a hard time liking my pics. Samsung needs to get rid of that variable aperture. On my note 9, it tends to blow out more images then I prefer. But when it gets it right, the pictures come out way better than any other low light shooter. Samsung should stick with a 1.7 fixed aperture in main camera. Use software for "low light" to brighten images Both these phones win

I always Turn down the exposure on Galaxy's, it does wonders in bringing back the colours & depth. But S10 is showing great improvements early on.. I can just imagine how good the S10 will be once released and updated

With all the new hardware and software in Samsung, iPhone of last year still kicks ass. As always, you do not want to agitate Andriod Fanboys as it would hurt your cash flow, but if you were really honest, except for the wide angle lens, there was nothing ground breaking in this year's Galaxy flagship.

I would say the iPhone is better when you’re comparing it to the pixel one or really any pixel just because it’s more natural that’s what photos should look like but if you’re comparing them both to the pixel they’ll both beat the pixel no problem

I think S10 won this time. Not necessarily b/c it has better shooter but b/c it has more features like that super wide angle camera is really good also that steady shot is amazing and better low light photography is what is making me to believe that S10 won. But iPhone is not far behind it still has better video for both good and low light better HDR and at least for me better front camera in good lightning conditions also the sound at least for me headphones(Razer Kraken Pro V2) sounds fuller and overall slightly better on iPhone. So yeah S10 doesn't have better shooter but has more features

Clarity is arguably the best in iPhone XS Max and also better dynamic range and cool red colours are unbeatable in the 10s MAX. Moreover 10s Max has realistic RGB colours and smoother video capturing and the best balanced skin texture To be fair wide angle lens is nice in S10+

Look at the bricks on the shadow side at 6:33. The noise reduction on the S10 does its "best" to get rid of texture lol. What a shame they still didn't fix it. It has been a big issue on Samsung phones since the S7.

I preordered S10 plus, but I have to be honest - I like Iphone photos and videos, in my oppinion they are better. Iphones camera have great, steady and predicable photos, while Samsungs are oversaturated and you don't always know what to expect. But overall, S10 is superior device compared to Iphone...design, display, battery, performance, features, price... S 10 makes Iphone XS look like some middlerange phone and very outdated.

Obviously, apple may be behind from innovation atleast they make it to last long. The reason i stayed with apple its because of its more realistic camera feel than samsung’s filtered like capture.
