Back Photos = Both are really good Front Photos = Samsung You can‘t really go wrong with either one! Back Video = iPhone Front Video = iPhone The iPhone has a much higher Bitrate and looks cleaner with more details, color accuracy and lighting. Back Portrait = Samsung Front Portrait = Samsung The Samsung has better Edge detection and also a wider shot Back Lowlight Photo = iPhone Front Lowlight Photo = iPhone The iPhone doesnt look that washed out and keeps a realistic impression Back Lowlight Video = iPhone Front Lowlight Video = iPhone The iPhone manages to keep the exposure right while looking more natural and not that washed out. Both are lovely cameras. As someone who rarely ever uses the front facing camera I think I prefer the iPhones more natural and consistent photos, but the S10s autofocus is extremely impressive! Wow, 2 great phones with 2 great cameras. As I say now it’s all down to OS preference.

I'm pretty sure and if I'm wrong then I Hope Samsung puts out an update to optimize some camera AI / features and also give options for the user to set the percentage of the processing / some AI edits so users can take more "natural" pictures if they'd like and to have a bit more options/versatility. If they did that, the S10 would be a bit ahead. But still, both are great for most people I'm just talking for us S10 users .

Great anysis. I like filming one or two songs when I go to concerts, and took both a Note 9 and iPhone XS Max to the last concert I saw. Both video and photos were way better with the iPhone. Video wasn't even comparable. That honestly surprised me. But it was one of the things that made me stay with the iPhone. Course it's a very specific use case.

I have both and what we have to keep in mind Samsung is a generation ahead. Wait till iPhone comes out this year and compare those. I do love s10plus but it blows my mind iPhone is better in most camera and video shots. If iPhone had s10 new screen that would be nice. Hey Dan 🇬🇧 👋 I've been waiting for this one! I can agree the iPhone XS Max does find it difficult to focus if the object is really close, I've noticed that. However, I've got to say the iPhone XS Max photos look better overall, yes I know I'm bias cos I've got one, but I much prefer the truer colours of the XS Max. I don't like how the S10 Plus flips the photo, my S9 Plus used to do that as well! I also don't like the way the S10 Plus photos come out with odd colour tinges at times, and, the flash is very obvious on the pics, awful. So, sticking with my trusted reliable XS Max until September, thanks Dan great video again.. 👍🙏♥️

S10 has a headphone jack, iPhone doesn't! S10 has a 93% screen to body ratio, iPhone has an ugly giant notch! S10 has a better screen, with HDR10+, the iPhone doesn’t have HDR… S10 has an UltraSonic fingerprint reader, iphone has face i,d only… S10+ also has wireless powershare, a vapor cooling chamber, ceramic body options, Ultrasonic fp sensor and stereo speakers, Samsung Pay, Dolby Atmos, 40% less blue light built into the OS, Always on Display with music and apps if wanted, Night mode, Home screen widgets and the ability to put your icons anywhere you want to, ALL OF WHICH THE iphone's DO NOT HAVE!!!!!!! And I didn't even mention DEX!!!! Which of course, CRapple does NOT have either. And what about the HDR10+ display, that CRapple does NOT have. What about being able to do video in HDR10+ from the FRONT or rear cameras? CRapple doesn't have that either. HOW CAN ANYONE ARGUE FOR THE "i"crap that CRapple puts out???? 1) Which phone has the best image quality? Personally, I don't like oversharpened images and prefer natural colors. This comparison has answered the question for me. Great job! 2) Which one sounds better? In quiet environments such as in the video the S10 sounds slightly more natural and fuller to me, but what about loud concerts and music festivals? This is where lots of android phones struggle with sound distortion.

The ultra wide is partly what sold me on the S10. If the xs had Ultra wide, it would be a harder choice. As expected ( based on earlier generations) the iPhone does better skies and skin tones. The S10 is a Good all arounder. I currently own a s10e.

Both are really amazing cameras and phones and no one would be disappointed with either. I would go for the iPhone XS Max though, as I prefer its video capability and natural quality and ease of use.

Not being funny, for most people will stick to their own brands, I’d never move to iPhone and my wife would never move to android, despite any advantages or disadvantages, most people are already stuck in one of the camps and can’t move away anyway.

I agree with your conclusion. 2019 cameras are much closer than 2018's. While other reviewers come down on the side of the GS10+, I find the image comparisons to be very close; sometimes one, sometimes the other.

An update has already come and fixed many issues to the s10 camera you are using old photos.

Apple apps are the most broken too, there unsafe, as android user, the only problem i saw on the S10, is the face unlock feature, but i dont use that at all, i dont see anything safe on IOS, since they can get bypass the security easily.
