This was the first galaxy s10+ screen repair I have done so I decided to film it. The issue I came across, I was sent the wrong adhesive in the mail and I didn't realize it until the phone was already taken apart. So I had to problem solve and cut the adhesive out myself and match it up the best I could.

I’m so glad I watched this. I just broke my S10 plus glass and the display is half blacked out. I was considering fixing it myself but this is way too delicate for a caveman like me. The money I would save wouldn’t be worth it. They are charging 325 by me to repair the screen. I thought that was high, but I guess it’s right. Thanks...great job

The charge port side goes in first. You have to wiggle it in. Could be easier for you to take out the headphone jack, then put in motherboard, then put headphone jack back on.

Was this with a genuine s10 plus amoled screen, there rediculously expensive to buy. I've seen sellers selling lcd screens for around £100 to replace broken screens but i guess the resolution and quality isnt great.

Will it damage the fon or remove the water profing when you put the sim ejection tool in the hole beside the sim tray on a s10?

No. That's how you put your sim card in. You have to remove it in order to put a sim card in there to get phone reception.

Yes. Phones are not water resistant after doing repairs.

Make sure it's not the screen protector. Alot of people dont realize that the phone comes with a preinstalled screen protector on their phone. The Note 10 full display replacement is basically the same thing as in this video.

You mean glass only repair? Separating the glass from the display I think that's what you mean? On the S10. Yes. I have videos doing that with other models. Actually have a video with an S10 that I used the freezer method to take the glass off.

Hey Richard. I dont understand why you would charge less for your refurbished screens.. Unless they have some sort of slight defect. e.g - B grade screens. But at the end of the day its an authentic Samsung LCD, not a 3rd party part like other shops sell. I think charging full price is more than fair, who cares if you got it for free.

If you can undercut your competition by $100 by refurbishing, you will get more business. A customer more likely to have a repair done when they realize that.

That looked like the least amount of disconnecting plugs I've ever seen on a screen replacement. The qi plate, selfie camera then motherboard. Looked like a straight and easy process

It appears that you didn't replace the outer mold line adhesive around the edge of the screen (or back cover), which means loss of water resistance and a path for dust ingress. Do you just tell your customers that after your repairs the phone is no longer IP68 rated?

Phones aren't water resistant after you open the phone for repairs. Even if you replace tape. There is more to water resistance then replacing a piece of tape.

@@RichardMeza Are you implying that the non-adhesive polymer gaskets around the buttons, microphone, etc are damaged in the repair process? Care would have to be taken that they seat properly. Also, why not use a liquid gasket to seal the outer mold lines of the screen and back?

I use precut adhesive. This was the first time I repaired this phone and I filmed it. The supplier sent the wrong precut adhesive with the screen so I rolled with what I had and did as best as I could. It was a customers phone and I only had a short time with it.

Phone is not waterproof after any type of repair. You make the choice, waterproof or repair your phone. Whats more important to you.

Water proofing yes. It loses it's under water proofing. You can splash water on it but dont dunk the phone under water.

Most people dont have insurance. Alot of people just want their screen fixed when all their pictures, videos contacts are stored in their phone. Your thinking of how everything will not work. Trust me I wouldnt have been in the business for 7.5 yrs now if that was the case.

The display part for an S10+ costs $228 right now. I charge $325 in my store for this model. Costs of parts are always high when phones are brand new. They will go down. This phone the display was damaged so it did not qualify for glass only repair.

Now here is a comment and I mean this with the utmost respect however, this guy has not a clue on what the F is doing. He realizes that after 12 minutes and 21 seconds as he completely destroys the LCD display in the front glass with his crude way of removing this, he realizes that they have sent him according to him, the wrong parts. But what's happening here is that he has the right parts but it's for the front glass not the LCD screen. As he further goes down the road at 13:27sec, he is coming to realization that he is screwing up live on camera and still doesn't have a clue, LOL do not send your phone to this guy he will flock it up pardon my language!!!!

Are you in the phone repair business?? NOPE. YOU have no clue what you are talking about. This is a full display + glass repair just like the title of the video says. You have it wrong. All they did was send me the wrong adhesive. But I understand, you just want to talk shit on youtube. I'm a phone repair business owner. I know what the hell I'm doing. If the display is already damaged like I show at the beginning of the video, it's already getting replaced so what's the point of gently taking out the screen? It's broken anyways and damaged. You rip the screen out. That's what you do if you are replacing the full screen and reusing their own frame. ✌
