Samsung galaxy s10 power button | How to replace Power button for Samsung galaxy s10

How about for a regular Samsung Galaxy S10, can the buttons be replaced without taking apart. My power and bixby buttons pop halfway out every time they are pressed. Don’t want to send to a Samsung service center or repair shop if this is something the average user can fix if they buy some replacement buttons online. Cannot find nobody online showing if these buttons can be changed without disassemble as I don’t want to break the buttons pulling them all the way out to replace them. The buttons still function fine when pressed despite them trying to come out when pressed.

They can be fixed without opening for buttons popping out issue. Poor quality or design of these buttons makes them last only few years. OEM parts are bit expensive but good lookalikes are available in aliexpress.

06:32 Buddy my power button just came out randomly. When I put it back just like you did it works perfectly. But due to some reason it fells off again, its kinda loose i guess. Will it work if I order a replacement button and put it back just like you did it in 06:32 ?? Or i need to replace the internals as well??

If the button is not broken then that will work . Just make sure may b u just fix the button up side down and down side up . Try both .

@Unnikrishnan P D buttons can be found as per model on shopee,aliexpress etc..I saw a full set 3 buttons for about $2. But whether it can be replaced without opening up or whether the waterproof status will be reduced etc. I don't know...maybe just try cleaning and replacing the previous button..or put a thin layer of contact glue. If that does not work than probably have to open up and replace one with a new button. I guess the back portion of the button has a protrusion that may have to be sanded down to fit ..and also the button hole may be bigger than yhe button causing it to fall off...a lot of factors but something to note would be to watch some more video clips of the same or other similar models where buttons are replaced..having a clear picture ...1. To heat up the back..opening without putting the card in too deep..as that may damage the inside..and than taking photos/ video at every step or noting down the screws taken out so that we can replace them exactly, would be helpful. 2. maybe the "button" Bridge maybe bent..take note...try the new button...top- end to bottom..or reverse..bottom end to top etc..3.see how much its protrudes out...than slide the retainer bridge in..IN the correct top to bottom as it should be...don't force anything...jiggle and move to get it in...the button has to be popped out when the bridge can slide in. If all this sounds too adventurous....better get a tech to do...for a much higher cost..but peace of mind. My advise is if you choose the tech way...stay and watch..make sure nothing else happens!

my power button is kinda loose but it works fine the only problem is that the edge of the button kinda pops out and the other edge sticks. what should i do? should i intentionally pop out the other edge? and put it back? or should i buy new power button and do what you did? btw i found button key set on my local ecommerce website and has a pretty good review and also can i directly put the power button to the phone? without opening its insides?

Hay there . If your home button is working and it is just pop out and easily be removed then there is no need to open the phone just remove the old and insert the new one .

A useful video, overall, but terribly hobbled by the complete lack of explanation, either verbal or written. I realize you may be trying to cater to a multilingual crowd, but still... this was NOT a great "learning experience." I've had to stop, rewind, and try to guess why you're doing what you're doing, when you're doing it, HOW you're doing it, during this whole procedure. I'm saving this video for future use, in case it comes in handy, but I think I need to find a better example of "instruction on how to do this."

No need to open phone if your button just fell off. It is a common issue with Samsung for phones older than few years.
