I own a galaxy s20 and I should say, for some reason the colors in 8k mode look more vibrant and pleasant than shooting from 4k mode.... probably has something to do with the sensor.. but yeah it's pretty cool

Yes! I'm starting to practice now 😊 Just a question though, IDK if this is normal but my s20+ seems to get too much light flares and light spots during the night. I know this could be just because of the light source but when I see others work they don't seem to have this issue. Anyway, I was on a rooftop bar that night when I tested it and there are like light bulbs hanging above, my phone cam looked like it got astigmatism 😑

I remember my p20 and OnePlus phone had that too and I could never get rid of it. I think I has to do the coating of the glass on the camera. But I’m still not 100 percent sure

I just got the s20 and the osmo 3 and they're working great together. I haven't figured out how to shoot 8k with it though. The osmo settings seem to max out at 4k. I'm about to ask the op in another comment.

@@Canadianexplorer4u 8K (7680 X 4320) video is a shooting option in the standard S20. I can't say if it's true 8K, but it's an option. Now that I've had the phone a while though, I find I prefer to shoot in 4k 60fps.

@@modafo360-morgand.foley-hu9 I just got the s20+ and now see through the Samsung range the osmo mobile 3 mimo app doesnt support them very well, only 30fps modes - I cannot change to 60fps or higher. Unless i use the defualt phone app, but then i loose some functionality of what the mimo app gives. What apps are you guys using to film using the osmo mobile 3 and s20 (samsung)

Thanks! I would say the DJI is very good and easy to use. Moza Mini MX feels just as smooth but with more options. I use the main Samsung camera app to shoot

Absolutely brilliant 👍, i also own s20 plus but wondering about stabilization because it's only produce 8k 24fps and it's very shaky whenever i made video.

I just got both an s20 ultra and an osmo 3. Both new. I had them synced up and running fine out of the box, but the next day I tried to use it and its not doing anything. Wont connect via Bluetooth, doesn't show my devices Bluetooth name in the dji app, and when I connect to the random name it does give me it says the gimbal battery is basically dead even though its fully charged. I've talked to customer service and they just say that the s20 ultra is not on the list of compatible devices so they can't help me. How did you get yours to work ? Its killing me that other people are putting out a decent handful of great footage with this combo but I'm stuck with no customer support.

Nope. Maybe it has to do with my walking. I’ve been using gimbals for awhile. Still haven’t perfected my gimbal wall tho lol

I read that if your phone or camera has built in stability or steady camera modes. To turn it off as it will interfere with the gimball. Which causes shakyness or stutters. You should let the gimball do all the work if possible.

I used the stock camera app. I usually tap the screen as it’s second nature to me now and focus on having steady hands holding the gimbal

Awesome shots! I just got the s20 and the osmo3 today. I'm trying to figure out how to shoot in 8k though. I can set the s20 camera to 8k but the settings in the osmo app max out at 4k. How did you do it? Any other tips or tricks would be great 😉. Thank you!

When I used the ultra wide, I don’t see the motor in the way. I used it during my japan cinematic video and I don’t see it. I know I was switching back and forth from all 3 lenses

Thanks! The plus offers better battery life, a bigger screen and a tof camera. I don’t think these would make a big difference in terms of experience from the S20. Plus I like smaller phones. So the regular s20 hits all the marks for me

Hey Daniel, Great footage. Did you have a problem fitting the phone into the clasp of the gimbal. I have considered the Osmo Mobile 3. Though, I would hate to take the phone cover of my S20 Ultra everytime I would use the gimbal.

Ig and fb automatically down converts the quality. I’m pretty sure they don’t support 8K footage yet

Thanks. The DJI app is something I don’t use. From my experience, androids doesn’t get the full options of frame rates. Like you can’t access 4K 60 but on the iPhone it’s available in the app. I’m sure the record button and zoom works because it connects through Bluetooth

Check out my review for the Osmo. The main reason to get a gimbal is for steady walking shots. I like it over many other gimbals because of the little things they get right.

LOL. No prob. I shot this with the regular s20. The ultra costs too much and there’s no point of me paying for something that I don’t need in my life. S20 offers the core that will satisfy most people anyways. Can’t say if it’s compatible since I’ve never tried putting that big beast on the OM3.

The sleep wake button on the s20 is near the middle of the phone side. If you put the smartphone in to the gimbal, does the osmo press the button the whole time? In my opinion this could be a problem... How do you fix this? problem?

Usually I would try it without a case, if that doesnt work then I would push it out enough where the clamp doesnt touch the buttons. Then I will need to re-balance the gimbal.

You got the best out of the 8k mode but dynamic range isn´t to good with this mode. For example 0:58 or 1:33.

I like the detail, however dynamic range is lacking, this is evident as the shadows are crushed and foreground too dark especially when facing bright areas such as the sun. It is not impressive at all
