Yeah photos look natural on the S21/ Not for video though. Apple is still far superior there on stabilisation. Be interesting to see what Apple brings fork-home 13 this year which would be a fairer match of course.

I preordered s21 ultra. Upgrading from note 20 ultra. Samsung definitely wins in the photo department, however both the quality and stabilization of videos on the iPhone are much better (as expected). But, i'm buying s21 ultra for neither of these reasons, but that 1440p 120hz screen! Dat silky crispness

Dude I couldn't agree more with you. I almost cannot believe that most of the shots from iPhone looks that washed out. If not for the label, I maybe think they are switched lmao. Many of the iPhone shots here almost looks like typical Samsung photos from the past, weird, which always crashed the shadow and blown the highlight. As Samsung user who hate their overprocessed look in their past phones, this is huge step forward 😁

I just wish you also use the 108mp camera of the s21 ultra when comparing to the iPhone 12 pro max because thats also one of samsung key feature. Also the super steady mode while taking the video so that we can really compare how the iPhone catches up with the s21 ultra in terms of video stability. Not just the default settings of photos and videos. I believe that all the xtra features of the s21 ultra worth what we paid in buying the unit.

This details review of camera and videography literally deserved my subs, finally Samsung has achieved top tier smartphone camera with the camera setup and software image processing, I literally like the shadow and real feel images taken by S21U it just blown my mind away, iphone is still the king when it comes to videography no doubt. Well done Samsung finally!

As a Samsung user who used to hate their overprocessed image, I have to admit, they nailed their latest processing here. Huge departure from their past look, which always crashed shadow and blown out the highlights. So good, almost made some iPhone shots looks like old Samsung photos 😂 Although video is still iPhone forte but I'm more of photo guy, so this new processing coupled with more refined, advanced camera hardware, this is great news for long-time Samsung user like myself :D

Yeah but thats true now. Iphones takes overly yellow skin tones and normal indoor photos have extreme noise(even 400$ samsung phones have less noise in indoor images than the iphone). Also samsung wins in terms of zoom,colour accuracy,detail,features,display,battery and performance where the iphone only wins in video recording.

I think once Samsung fixes it's lowlight detail issues in the video processing, they will have the perfect camera. I sometimes have to use Pro Video on my S20 Ultra in low light because it records better videos in low light than the grainy sharpened Samsung processing.

S21: Photos,Selfies,Audio,Night mode,Focus,Macro And Zoom iPhone 12: Slightly better video recording and stability. But i've seen other videos where the stability on the S21 is better or about the same. Maybe it might get fixed with an update. UPDATE: The low light performance of the S21 Ultra on some videos is either better then the iphone 12 or worse. Again this phone needs some updates. Check supersafs video and unbox therapys video to see what i'm talking about.

I used to have both a Samsung and an iPhone at the same time. (I got the iPhone as a hand-me-down.) My personal preference is this: Samsung for places and objects. iPhones for people and pets (selfies included). I think each phone camera has its merit. It all comes down to what you prioritise.

Too much processing now from them it seems - sometimes this works well, other times it just looks yuk. But at the same time the Samsung adds too much contrast at times, so does the iPhone. I'd take Raw photos on both to play around with. Samsung more versatile for photos, iPhone still is great for videos.

Sacrifice: Vanced KZbin, Cinema HD, Gboard voice typing, 'go back' navigation, pulling down notification panel, comprehensive file manager etc ...😥 Looking forward to: reliable day to day photos and videos, genuine clean os, 5 years of software support, sturdy build with flat screen and steel frame (hate curved screen 😤) I prefer: battery over 120hz, ease of use over customisations, consistent camera over zooom & fun features. The iPhone is noisier in nearly every image. another little flaw i have found with the iPhone pro max , and that is if i try to focus on an item that the light varies from dim to bright , but I need to focus on the dimmer part , the iPhone will consistently refuse to focus on the dim area. I have also found on the iPhone if there is any sun in shot , the lens reflections are an absolute pain quite often. galaxy all the way.

@Agwali "slower" good one. the 120hz makes it looks much smoother and faster. the 888 can run about every game as smoothly as the a14. more expensive? that 200 dollars off on amazon for the s21 ultra wants to have a talk with you.. crap one ui? please explain how it's crap. you probably can't cause you probably have a broken iphone 6s in ur hands rn. less durable. yeah...I kinda use things like cases... ever heard of them?

As an iPhone user, the photos are absolutely amazing on the s21 but video is miles better than s21 I’ll still pick the iPhone because it’s consistent
