Samsung manufactured snapdragon chip! Means nothing!! Tensor has one of the strongest GPU and uses a 2+2+4 architecture vs the industry using 1+3+4. Benchmarks don't tell the story. This isn't surprising. Just proves how little most tech reviewers know about the technology

The Tensor chip has two Cortex X1 and the Exynos 2200 only has one Cortex X2. So for the heaviest tasks, the Tensor chip is more powerful because it has one more bigger core. The Chips are becoming to complex for the benchmarks. All the Chinese phones with the Snapdragon 8 gen 1 have better scores in the benchmarks than the S22 Ultra. But when you are really using the phones, Samsung is always smoother, gave you better battery life without aggressively killing the apps. The benchmarks aren't the whole truth.

I didn't expect the Pixel to win... I am really disappointed with Samsung. And of course the S22 Ultra is still a great phone but the fact that it's slower even than the Pixel which is definitely not so fast is not good for Samsung and for Exynos...

@Fahad Abdul Ahad what I have know is that GOS affects huge selection of apps, not only games and is a lot complicated service managing performance, battery, throttling and heat of the whole device not only on games, mate.

Well yes and no. Yes because it has a Samsung 5g external modem and the whole chip is produced by Samsung and no because Google designed their custom AI NPU chip.

Software updates on a Samsung phone mostly bring freezing issues and overheating issues , making the phone slower overall. I have been using Samsung since the days of galaxy note 2, it’s the same story every time with the software updates.

Went from pixel 6 to s22 (exynos) because the 6 was way too big for me. I can say the pixel felt really smoother in general. Still prefer the S22 cause of it's perfect size but I hope Samsung can do something about it cause it's way more expensive 😂

I tried to make the same switch, but was using my pixel again after a day. The pixel is so much smoother and even seems faster. I’m in Europe so my S22 ultra is the exynos variant though, that could make a difference..

Nah it's not the exynos. It's one UI to be blamed samsung's software after one UI 4.0 feels nice but more heavier and have a lot of stability issues with micro stutters and glitches have been facing on all my Samsung phones. They need few stability updates which were compromised after the one UI 4.0 update. Pixel's software is much lighter compared to one ui

@river I don't think that's practical if that were the case brands would have nothing to differentiate themselves from. Samsung then would just be another pixel phone with better hardware. Don't get me wrong I do love how smooth and light pixel experience feels but i prefer one ui over pixel experience and i would like it that way. It's just that I want samsung to make their ui a bit more stable and smoother and more responsive

And I'm someone looking for the fastest phone I can get so I really wanna make sure that's what I get. You can't beat the S22 Ultra . Better camera better screen and faster then any phone . The only phone that keeps up with it's speed is the Sony Xperia . The Xperia is the only phone that does rival S 22 ultra .

This speed tests are so stupid. It has nothing to do with the Processor. It's all about Android optimization and individual app optimization for Single core ops or Dual core ops.....Exynos 990 was very fast on loading and Dual core apps but it was a trash chip overall. Same with Tensor.
