I have an s10. Prior I always upgraded every 2 years.... S4, S6, S8 and then S10. There used to be so many improvements every year back then. It's now been 3 years since my S10 and I'm left kind of underwhelmed. S21 wasn't that appealing. S22 is certainly an improvement but not sure if its worth the upgrade from the S10 😔

Not gonna change soon.. battery is better with the exynos versions (cant get the snapdragon in my country, and s22 on exynos dies after 2 hours SoT, on S 10 i can go netflix for 4 hours no problem). S10 series.. it's a samsung's masterpiece.. good times when customer counted, not sales reports.. and the mini-jack.. who told you removing it saves inner space for more tech.. the jack port takes only 0,8mm of connector placed on mo-bo.. removing it from devices in 2020 was a world glitch.

I've recently decided to upgrade from S10 to S22+. Only a day after i found it too big and uncomfortable and changed it for the normal S22,which i was worried to be too small but it actually appeared the perfect match. I would like to point some disadvantages though. First and the biggest is the dispay.I'm sorry Samsung but the S10 panel just looks better with its higher resolution.Not to mention that you can choose the setting from menu for max resolution which S22 doesn't even has. Yes the S22 dispay is faster and brighter but it doesn't look that crystal clear. Second thing that annoys is the smaller volume button which is too close to power one. That is kind of uncomfortable especially on the bigger S22+. For the outlook i think the S10 clear glass back with beautiful colorations looks more premium than the blurred math back on S22. Other than these the S22 is faster with better camera, and overall is the better phone,which is normal. The camara bump out of the phone makes it lay unlevel on surfaces. The S10 just sticks when put on table.

The tactical name change from S10 to S20 series is a psychological one. Techs kind of peaked the last few years. It shouldn't be surprising that a flag ship phone from only 2 years ago still holds its own today.

I did upgrade from S10 to s22 last week. I advice not to. I went from 512GB with additional 64GB SD card in the s10 to 256GB max in the s22. Now need to bother myself with selecting media files for archiving on external hard drive. Moreover the speakers on the s22 are not as good as the s10's (I listen to music through the speakers quiet often while I do household chores). The camera, based on my needs, isn't such a huge upgrade from what I can tell at the moment. All in all, stick with the s10, especially if you have the 512GB larger memory. It's one of the best phones ever, gives you an SD slot and a headphone jack and is still a very good and performant device even by 22 standards. Just don't drop it. That curved screen is eager to crack.

Still having my s10 as my daily driver since launch and it'w now Sept 2022 and this phone continues to impress me. The only downside I guess is now battery life, but guess what Samsung does it in their shop for around 50£. Oh, want more? It uses the latest Android version at this point ;) Has an audio jack, miniSD slot, does well in popup view or split screen modes, still takes amazing pictures, the in screen fingerprint sensor works like a charm now. I was very tempted to buy a new phone, but this S10 just doesn't give me any reason at this stage to want to change it. All in all I love my phone .

Got both the S10+ and the S22+. Love both these phones. S10+ was one of the most feature packed phones to ever release and you can definitely add more life to it by installing a custom OS after the security updates end

Unfortunately foolish Samsung still hasn't seem to learn. The S23 still will have a lack luster 1080p display from rumors instead of 1440p. Suppose it was originally removed because they stopped supporting their VR headsets but only kept it for the Ultra models. No micro SD card support, or MST for Samsung Pay, I didn't mind the curved screens either on the S10. Samsung just cannot seem to build a phone that makes me want to give up my S10. Samsung will most likely copy stupid Apple and remove the Sim card slot on US models.

I've just 'upgraded' from the s10+ to the s22 and I couldn't be more disappointed. Not an upgrade whatsoever, the s22 is slow and laggy out of the box, the camera lags, apps lag, videos stutter, my 2 year old s10+ still beats out the s22 in most ways besides picture quality & even that it only wins on by a small margin!

Still not impressed at all, hopefully more updates in the near future will make it easier to live with. Would not recommend anyone get an s22, stick with the s10.

2022 i've owned an S8 for about 2 and a half years and just bought the S10. I'm a headphone junky so went for that and the prices are great. I did consider the other S10's but thought the + might be a bit too big. Micro SD expansion of 512 is also important for me.... tbh the S8 has held up pretty well for me and is still pretty robust.

I think it depends if the S22 is on sale. Right now it is $699 on Amazon and the S10+ in good condition and not wrecked by the average consumer is still around $500 with a degraded battery, scratches, and most likely damaged somewhere. If you have one already though, good deal still. Plus it was the last good feeling android in the hand IMO.

Its crazy how S10 battery still hold up so good, your S10 was 99% battery when your video started, and it's 96% in the end of the video, only decreased 3%, you opened apps and camera and let the screen on for entire video, i mean it's 3 years old battery and still so good. The S22 started with 52% battery and it's 50% at the end of the video, HOWEVER you didn't show the S22 screen in the end though so i think it's between 49% or 50%, so S22 also decreased 2 or 3% of battery, same like S10's 3 years old battery, how crazy is that??!

I felt the same way coming from the S9+. I was really hesitant to upgrade due to the screen resolution downgrade. I've had the new S22+ for a week now and I honestly can't tell the difference in terms of pixel density. I love the 120hz, though and I'm glad to be back on a flat screen. Overall I like this phone a lot more.

Dont forget waterproof. I dropped mine into a pool for 30 minutes. Still worked perfectly after although I dont recommend completely submerging it.

My wife and i are getting our s22's tomorrow. She has the s9 and i have the s10. We got them at the same time about 3-4 years ago. Hers is literally coming apart at the seams. The glue is failing on it. My s10 is in perfect condition and I LOVE IT. The ONLY reason were upgrading is because hers is coming apart and i want us in to the 5g realm.

Since getting my S10 in May 2019, its battery has failed me twice (both times "swollen"). The first time (Feb 2021), Samsung replaced the battery free of charge. The second time (couple days ago), they are charging for both repair and a new battery. I chose fixing because I cannot justify buying a new smart phone so soon. All my previous "smart" phones lasted over 4 years--I seldom watch videos (I have tablets) as phone screens are too small for me, and I don't play serious games (Candy Crush doesn't count). So I am hardly a heavy user. Yet the guy at Samsung service centre cautioned that phone batteries tend to burn out really fast because of the demands the software/apps have on the phone. I guess this vicious cycle couldn't be helped unless one is willing to carry an external battery with a slim mobile phone. After all these ramblings, I am still not quite ready to part with my S10, but S22 would very likely be my next phone.

Dont you think its unfair to compare them since your S10 is 6GB ram version. I think you should use S10 with 8GB of ram variant to compare. Mine is S10 with 8GB of ram by the way, and it's still very fast and fluid, especially after the Android 12 and One UI 4.1 update

The galaxy s8 s9 and s10 and note 10 plus are the best looking phones any manufacturer has ever made in my opinion. I got an offer from my carrier today to upgrade to an s22 for free by sending in any old damaged phone and of course getting a new line, which I've been thinking about for my kiddo, but even though the old s10 I keep on my desk has a crack I just don't know of I could turn it in for an s22. I got an s20 ultra last year and ended up giving it to my wife in exchange for her not 10 plus. I love a beautiful phone.

The changed are now so minimal, that it's not worth upgrading tge phone. If you're worried about fractions of a milisecond in transitions.... then you're the problem - not the phone!

Immediately incorrect. Everything about the s10 is superior. Everything except the camera but only if you choose to sacrifice motion capture which I want. With motion capture enabled, the s10 pics are higher resolution than the s22. The cpu and gpu are so similar that we humans cannot tell the difference.

I am about to switch from my s10 to the s22. The s10 still runs great, the only issue is the charging port is giving me issues as when charging it doesn't want to fast charge. Was able to swap to the s22 through insurance. Also the camera on the s10 is lagging a bit compared to what I see on iPhone.

I'm upgrading to the s 22 actually from my S10 and this video is very surprising on the similarities. I totally forgot that the S10 has a QHD display and an expandable storage slot which you're amazing features that I'm going to miss. But those new cameras especially in low light are going to be way better than the s10s and while the apps seem to open around the same time as this 22 this video doesn't go into a deep dive of usage of apps. I've noticed that some apps that I use such as Snapchat Instagram Facebook seem to be a little bit laggy sometimes and glitch out and I'm hoping that on the s22 the usage will be a better experience for these apps.

S10 did have qhd but throughout the years I've stepped it down to the lower resolution. There's absolutely no difference in quality but it had better battery life

Honestly if I were you I wouldn't have upgraded/downgraded It's negligible upgrades/ downgrade going to the S22 series from the S10 Because you do lose • headphone jack • expandable storage • charging brick and charging cable • NFC If anything I would have went with the note 20 Ultra because you would at least have added a couple more years and gotten a slight upgrade for a lower price And still had all those features that I mentioned.

Also for your technical issues on the S10 maybe if you clear the cache on your phone you could have proved the experience. Also make sure you keep up with optimizing your phone.

Still have my s9 plus. Don't really care that much about the software. I'll keep a phone for 7 years or until it breaks. Just need an upgrade to this phone. Either one is fine especially if the price is right lol

I feel you lol. I still have an S9 and I LOVE my all black s9 but I've had it for a few years now and the only reason why I want to upgrade to the s10 is because I cracked it at the bottom after like the 100th drop. Due to this my phone now has trouble reading the sim card at times but if it wasn't for this reason I'd still be content with it because the s9 is a great flagship as well. It's fast, sleek, sexy, durable, stealth, dependable. I mean what's not to love about it? I can only imagine how the s10 is going to be and based on the reviews I can't wait to get one!

I've had my galaxy s10 since 2019 and it is still going strong. I see that VZW is offering $800 if I trade in the s10 essentially making the S22 free. My biggest worry is battery life since my S10 still runs really well and lasts all day. Should I make this trade? Will providers still value the S10 as a trade in next year?

I'm on my third day on the s22. Coming from s10+ I say hold until 23. The S10 is too good with the glass quality, speed etc. My s22 looks really nice though compared to the S10. Battery life depends. I did a full install without smart switch, adaptive battery off and deep sleep app like Google, Samsung internet, and useless apps. Along with Adguard it last pretty well for a 3700mah vs 4100.

Definitely the S19 design was better…unlocking phone from side button sooo much cleverer than front screen. Volume buttons on the left..again…sensible. Trying to turn on my S22 is just not as smooth and fast.

I already pre-ordered S22 version, because for pre-ordered together with a phone will be gift galaxy buds pro. Total price 897$. But I'm still relive that phone will be small, because I checked it already. Also I'm relive that iPhone would been better than Samsung. Idk. If compare Samsung and iPhone 13 for example, Samsung winning in cost, characteristics and gift. But seems iPhone is just popular brand and show off. Although really when take iPhone in your hand this is like you is in other world. But cost iPhone is very high and it losing at Samsung over characteristics. That's is why I choose Samsung. Only reason I've upgraded to s22 is because my screens cracked to sh*t on s10+ phone speed is more than sufficient. I feel after 3 years as expected it dies alot more frequently. But honestly when new there's zero point to chose the new phones if you can fine one of these s10 models unopened.

I have galaxy s10 idk what to update like good video camera sd card lost because I take lot of footage and I want like storage high and like like the size of galaxy s10 in my hand all something that when the phone is stole that will register with the backing up to google and cloud even when not opened because I had my phone stolen and because of that I realized how important it is to be able to pull things off the phone with in not being present. found out on s10 that you have to unlock the phone for it to start backing up your photos and stuff from google cloud .. any idea on what phone I should get I do also like the head phone jack
