Nice video. What is the resolution by default when you take pictures on 5x? Is it regular 50 mpx resolution or reduced to 12 from 50?

It depends what you have it set to. You can take 5x photos in 12mp mode, or in 50mp.

If they somehow managed even to reduce shutter lag, I guess all these "honest" reviewers would mention that first. From what I've seen it's the same old "yeah, shutter lag is less noticeable" story all over again, while in reality pictures of moving subjects will be as blurry as on any other Samsung device from previous years.

For the past 8 years, I have been upgrading to the next Samsung flagship phone every year. I'm gonna stay with my S23 Ultra (only 6 months old) this year cause I didn't feel the S24 Ultra was worth the upgrade. Mostly software upgrades with minor hardware improvements. Just my 2 cents.

Best part was the phone was free because insurance company cut me a $1,565 USD check since s22 ultra and s23 ultra were both on back order and they couldn't procure one for me. I waited for over two weeks for a replacement (while my s22 ultra no longer fast charges) and finally they said they couldn't find one for me and would just cut me a check for the retail MSRP of my s22 ultra including taxes!! Also got the 1TB for the price of the 512GB with the promo today plus $150 worth of accessories. SUPER excited!!

In 10x mode you will lose 2 f stops by cropping as you are losing 2 stops of light since you are only using a smaller portion of light for your image so at 10x your aperture will be a lot smaller. Coupled with the larger sensor, however, it might even out to be the roughly same image quality as on the 10x lens of the s23 ultra.

Hey Can you tell me which lenses can shoot in 4k 120fps please? The iphone can shoot 1080 120fps on all 3 lenses, so I'm deciding which phone to buy and this is a huge factor for me, 4K 120fps is a game changer, I hope it can shoot with all of the lenses, or at least the main camera and the 5x camera! hi you can only shoot in slow motion mode with the 1x lens at 4K 120 and 240/120 in HD. In normal video mode you can shoot 4K 60 in all lenses. Hope that helps.

Reviews (at least honest ones) of Samsung phones should start with taking pictures of moving subjects (people, kids, pets...) indoors, in anything but direct sunlight. I don't care about lenses, focal lenghts, zooms or megapixels if pictures of moving subjects will, like always with Samsung devices, end up blurry and unusable.

You forgot the important iformation. What resultion did you shoot at? 200 or 50MP are blocking the zoom function. the full potential of the camera is onyl given with 12MP If you select 200MP you can literally only take fotos like you see on the screen. nothing more

you cannot shoot 24mp photos period. the options are 12, 50 and 200. You can only shoot portrait mode 12mp photos with the 1, 2, 3 5x lenses which will output a 12mp photo. You can however, edit background blur (bokeh) into any photo in your photo gallery (even photos not taken on the S24).

I was forced to swap phone due to service, otherwise the S24 Ultra had been a no brainer compared to my regular 15 Pro. Samsung offers 12 months of free insurance, 25 months warranty, 100 days free trial, along with 256gb, 12gb ram, larger display and arguably better allround cameras for the same price I paid for the iPhone 🙃 how about them apples, Apple?

hi, as far as i can see there is no video eraser built in (only for photos). The new always on display is so cool (you can see it in the video before i tap the screen to activate my video wallpaper). I really like it. The speaker seems quite similar in volume to the S23 Ultra - maybe very slightly louder. I don't usually play music or sounds that loud on my phone.

Hmm if you’re in normal camera mode you want to shoot in good light when it’s bright so the shutter speed is high. Or else you can go to pro mode and up the shutter speed manually so there’s less blur for moving objects. Hope that helps.

The quality difference between S22 Ultra and S23 Ultra wasn't great... and it looks the same here for the S24 Ultra. think it's still not as big a jump in quality as the more advanced hardware of the 1inch sensor phone cameras 😑

I personally dont like the change to a 5x. Inrsther prefer a 5x and a 10x having digital zoom up to 4.9x with the main 200mpx sensor. Since they annouced the sensor was capable to do it. Honestly for me that's a downgrade and won't upgrade
