Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will be the first Samsung smartphone to have a titanium frame which will not only make the phone stronger but also make it more premium. Titanium is a denser material so it was expected that the Galaxy S24 Ultra will be heavier but that will not be the case. Samsung will also add a new zoom button with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Although titanium is about two-thirds heavier than aluminum, its inherent strength means that you need less of it. In fact, you need a fraction of the amount of titanium to get the same physical strength you would get with aluminum.I think hence titanium will be lighter and not heavier.

@@chriswhitebear9799 I don’t know if you can see my previous post, but this is objectively false. This is a common misconception. Ultimately carbon fiber is superior in every single metric other than pliability and shock resistance relative to aluminum or titanium. If they really cared about setting the bar, they would be using carbon fiber, but I suspect they might be using titanium because it’s a softer metal and would have much greater shock absorption. Yes, they reduce the weight in the phone, but it has nothing to do with the frame the frame weighs more, but the phone weighs less. Apple started using titanium in their watches, and they will use titanium in the iPhone 15 so Samsung is trying to keep up because they have always had superior hardware.

It's obvious. knowing that titanium is stronger, Samsung has obviously opted for a thinner frame or a new design that has fewer structural features. It's the same thing as taking 6 standard plastic rulers and 3 steel rulers and asking someone to snap them, this process is continued until we reach 3 plastic rulers that is just about possible to be snapped and 1 steel ruler that can bend. We find out how thin we can make something till the product loses structural integrity. 1 steel ruler is obviously thinner than 3 plastic rulers, and the steel ruler is way more resistant, just like titanium is to aluminum/ steel...

Charging the battery at any speed above 20-25 Watt will significantly degrade the battery. 45 W is already too much. The Chinese manufacturers face a market with a different attitude; the "mine is faster" is very relevant and takes priority over the reliability and longevity of the device. Here in the West is more relevant to avoid a failure within the warranty timeframe; also here all pyrotechnic consequences end in the press. I wouldn't charge a 5,000 mAh battery at 10 Ampere (45 W) even if I could...

Depends on how long you intend on keeping your phone.

Lol iphone 14 pm with 27 watt still degraded faster than android with 100 watt. This degradation can be stopped/slowed down a lot by stacked battery. Hope s25 series use stacked battery

Any micro sd card inserts? Thats the turn off from Samsung, I own the s21 and if I were to upgrade it would have to have a sd card insert.

Being tougher and denser material, you can use a lot less and achieve the same results.

Because titanium is much stronger than aluminum so they can use much less material than aluminum which makes the device lighter.

It's obvious why it's lighter. It's a far stronger material do they can use a good portion less material to achieve the same durability

44watt fast charging is enough for a phone , i dont need more that this and if you have two phones like me you'll definitely agree because 44 watt charge is quite fast and you dont need to wait long when you hold the other phone

is there any point? i mean these phones are durable enough, 1 gram of weight reduction is nothing and almost every single bit of damge to existing smartphones is mostly the front display, and anyone that damages or scuffs the edges of the frame is not replacing it, so I dot see the point, basically to try and justify the price increase, same with apple with their iPhone 15 series partially switching to Titanium. I miss the good old days when Samsung used to be more creative and innovative. now like apple, they are just rehashing stuff without even trying
