I disagree with you and most of your colleague KZbinrs. I think words matter: Samsung don't NEED to innovate that much even if we know they COULD. Let's talk real: 1️⃣ Nobody buy Chinese flagship in North America, outside of tech enthousiasts, since they are not available neither in stores nor through carriers. 2️⃣ I live in France and in Europe, last year only Xiaomi 14 Ultra and Honor Magic 6 Pro were available: no Vivo X100 Pro, no Vivo X100 Ultra, no Oppo X7 Ultra, no Oppo X7 Pro. Right now, there are still no official release date for Vivo X200 Pro, Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Mini in Europe. OnePlus smartphones are only accessible online so only tech enthousiasts know about this brand. 3️⃣ Sales for Chinese flagship are not good in Europe : only iPhone and Galaxy have good stats above 500€. 4️⃣ Availability for Chinese flagship in South America is almost the same as North America. 5️⃣ Samsung don't sell in China since many years. In China, Oppo, Vivo, Honor, Xiaomi, Huawei share smartphones marketshare with 15-20% each. 📌With everything I've said, what the point for Samsung to drastically improve their phone each year when they don't have to compete on main market ? 6️⃣ In matter of business, there is no point. 7️⃣ In matter of pure technology, of course it would be great 8️⃣ But selling phones in 2025 is a business FIRST. It may be sad but that's just facts...business FIRST, tech enthousiasts are not the main target. S25 Ultra will come with a new design, small improvements and that's it...😅. We know Samsung head was angry because he feels Samsung didn't innovate much but the average Samsung consumer knows it's not necessary to buy a Galaxy S or Ultra. That's the problem of Samsung...they are trapped, Galaxy A3x and A5x are so good for average consumer and that's why they iterate. Samsung only compete with Apple, and Google since Pixel is gaining in North America and Japan. I don't think you and your collegues should make videos about flagship without explaining to viewers than releasing a smartphone is also about marketshare and benefits. Tech enthousiasts can only be disappointed 🫤. ℹ️ iPhone 13 Pro / Nothing Phone(1) user.

The s25 series is literally identical to the s24 series besides the processor and the ultra-wide camera in the S25 ultra (s24Ultra plus) !! The ultra wide in the s25 ultra is getting CHANGED not "upgraded" to a 50mp sensor that's been on the market for multiple years!! It's a change, not an "upgrade." The only other change is the s25 ultra will now look closer to an iPhone 11 just as every device from Samsung and Google do!! Trust me, it makes me very sad knowing Samsung no longer innovates and takes complete advantage of the western markets! I own all Samsung appliances as well as the s24 ultra, earbuds, and watches! Samsung knows most people are completely unaware of the far superior Chinese competition! The same thing is finally catching up to Apple! Apple spends billions on marketing, but thank God consumers are starting to wake up and stop buying iPhones that have not changed since 2019!! Yes, that is 100% fact!! Apple has not changed the design of the iPhone since 2019 they have continued utilizing the exact same tools and design and simply upgraded the internals of the device!! The Chinese devices cameras, design, and overall hardware is far superior across the board! From camera sensors, battery tech, and charging speeds to the display of tech, the Chinese devices from Vivo, Honor, Huawei, Xiaomi, etc, are superior!!! Dont believe me? Look up Apple sales worldwide, and you will realize they have lost large market shares overseas.. It appears consumers are slowly waking up as Samsung missed their expected profits by 900 million and recently issued an apology for not innovating! They obviously didn't mean their apology because the s25 is not innovative! People need to understand that Samsung Google and Apple have a monopoly over the Western markets.. walk into any store that sells mobile devices, and then you will be offered basically three brands if you ask for the best device. Apple Google and Samsung. There are many other devices that are now very easy to import and work with all Google services. You are not missing anything and are getting far more if you buy one of the Chinese devices! Anyone that has an old device and needs to upgrade should actually look at Samsung's competition first, like the Vivo X200 Pro or even the X200 if you don't need the best camera on the market.. Anyone who wants to stay with Samsung for some reason and has an older phone should simply buy a discounted s24 series.. Save your money and do not reward Samsung for continuing their cycle of barely changing their devices and calling them upgrades!! *It's very important that consumers understand that AI has nothing to do with the devices!! AI is currently based off of software that happens in the cloud!! Do not fall for Samsung claiming the s25 has all kinds of new AI features! If you are dead set on buying a Samsung, buy an s24 series device and wait for a few months, and you will get the same AI features that the s25 series has!! The Snapdragon 8 gen 3 from last year already handles the AI tasks fairly well and is very powerful!!

I have the S23 Ultra which has been great. I got on discount back in 2023 with free Buds 2 Pro. The phone has nearly everything the S24 Ultra has. Also the S23 Ultra is the first Snapdragon only, so avoided Exynos. 8 Gen 2 seems to handle everything well, including video editing. I agree about getting the S24 series once the S25 series is released.

That's the perfect question what the hell is Samsung doing! Samsung creates the HP 9 200 megapixel sensor but then provides it to their competition ! That's right the Amazing Zoom sensor of the X200 Pro and the X100 Ultra is made by samsung!!! Yes Samsung is actually providing the best camera sensor on the market to its competition and then not utilizing it in its own device for Samsung customers!! So Samsung is ignoring the far better Battery Technology called silicon carbon and they are helping the competition create a a far superior device then Samsung creates!! Why would Samsung create the best sensor on the market and then help their competition create a far better device than they create? There is something horribly wrong going on with samsung, Google and Apple!! Simply look at the ridiculous camera sensor utilized in the pixel, iPhone 11 AKA iPhone 16 and the S-Series devices and then compare that to the majority of the Chinese devices!! The Big Three devices that have a monopoly on the western consumer don't even compare

Are you excited for the S25 Ultra?

I don’t think we’ll see much improvement. Honestly, the S24 Ultra was a big disappointment for me. As you pointed out, they’ve focused heavily on AI, but it’s still the same old design, with slow charging and little innovation.

If the battery performance is improved along with the newer snapdragon chipset then yes I'd seriously consider as my next phone since I'm a galaxy s22 ultra user. The last 2 gen of galaxy ultra just didn't warrant me to upgrade for minimal improvements as I'm not a heavy user. As said, the competition is getting very fierce so Samsung cannot be complacent and say MEH to the others.

From something like the S22, even then it’s not much improvements yet so hopefully the S25 is just a bit better

In truth, No! Tommy, if you remember me, we met at the Photography Show last year. I am that 'Unc' who spotted you, and we had a good chat. I own the S23 Ultra and that phone has been great to date. Overall I agree with a lot of the things you have said. Yes the battery could be bigger, but my phones battery has been good. I always charge via cable and never use wireless charging. I like my camera setup, but always thought that Samsung should have put a larger 3x telephoto senor with 20-50mp to cover the mid telephoto upto the then 10x telephoto. The S24 Ultra went the wrong way and kept the weak 3x telephoto. Now from the rumours, the ultra wide will be upgraded on the S25 Ultra. The only real change will be the 8 Gen Elite SoC. I sometimes edit photos and videos out and about. The processing power and speed will be handy, though I am not complaining with the 8 Gen 2. I prefer the boxy shape of the Ultra. I got my S23 Ultra with a £200 discount and free Buds Pro 2. Back in summer 2023. Let's say I am not changing anytime soon!

You have flagships coming up which have 6000ma battery, one inch sensors, 4500nits brightness, 100+ fast charging, IP69 water proof, 8 gen elite! And then you have the s25 ultra that is exactly the same as the s24 ultra with very minor upgrades 😂 What a joke. I am a Samsung guy. I have the s24 ultra but I won't be upgrading to the 25. I may move on to another brand which is actually "ULTRA"

@@GadgetsBoy Sound a lot like the S22 Ultra, which sounds like the S23 Ultra, which sounds a lot like S24 Ultra. More if the same and they'll charge more for it too. People will buy it too , thanks to all the free advertising y'all give Samsung.
