Cheers! This works well as of 31/07/16! Also for those who don't know, you don't have to uncheck "auto-reboot" in Odin, that way you don't have to remove your battery, your device will just restart normally and you can turn it off and boot the TWRP recovery. I would also recommend getting the latest version of TWRP for your device MODEL NUMBER instead of this download link. I also prefer to flash superSU from Odin since that way I don't have to keep it on my device.

for those who got failed there are two steps to do first you have to go to settings and about phone and desable the oem lock second in odin unchek the autoreboot after flashing the twrp so after flashing it pull out the battery and put it agains then reboot to recovery mode its done

Dean Macdonald go to the about phone then go to built number tape on it 5 time to activate the developper menu then go back then select the developper mode you will find OEM LOCK check it that's it

Samsung S5 G900F, Android 6.0.1 with latest updated stocked ROM(1-10-2016) TWRP with Odin success but NO TWRP on recovery mode. Only Stock Recovery again. Any idea??

U have to not let it reboot after flash and pull the battery, then reboot straight to recovery

You just need to remove checkbox from Odin>settings>auto reboot. Then after patching is done younhave two right way to do to keep newly patched TWRP on device. First one - after patching is done just push and hold menu+volume up and power button and allow TWRP to run first time and finally and permanently patch the original firmware or second - right after patching is done with Odin, remove cable, remove battery cover, remove battery, reinsert it back and use same three key combination to enter TWRP.

UR video are great and all but u forget to mention that we have to look for device in TWRP official site just making sure i have SGneo 5 (model sm-g903w) running on Lollipop 5.1.1 (downgraded ) and the Cf autoroot files are only availaible for 6.0.1 so i should update to to 6.0.1 before flashing ?

Hello from the future (May 2023). Date is not important because phone is the same, OS is Android 5, mega kept the files though I used newer Odin. Tried with rebooting and without. First time phone stopped with some microscopic red message mentioning "no recovery". Second time I got flawless but default recovery screen.

Help! I did everything right with the odin and when I press up + power and the middle button did not run twrp. It run say android recovery with some options as reboot system , reboot to bootloader and others Why? the oem is not enable.

tengo el g900f y me funciono, odin aunque dijo "pass" a la primera, tuve que hacerlo de nuevo para que me saliera la pantalla azul en el cel para instalar el super su, de ahi falto añadir la app root checker y la app link2sd para checar que esta correctamente rooteado y el otro para mover tus app a la sd, el super su te pide confirmacion como en windows cuando abres algo "esta seguro de abrir esta aplicacion?" algo asi, le ponen que si, parece que la persona del video dijo que pondria los drivers de cel para la compu, no vi nada, los saque de otra parte

Good day Android Doctor, I have a Samsung Note 4 SM-N910H with Android 6.01 Marshmallow. I have looked @ many video in order to get LineageOS 17 or others to but during the updating of those ROMs I always get an error 7. I saw that I may have to edit the update script to get pass this but that was for an S5 video. So I did not want to go there. If you cannot get it to twrp software, you need to keep trying and re installing odin and then you have to perfectly time the power, vol up and home button perfectly to get the twrp software!
