Hey Lisa thanks for the comparison and another great review. I've been having trouble with the screens of a few S6 Edge+'s. In a dimly lit room, load up HBO GO or Netflix and you see a weird blotchiness in the middle. Curious if yours do the same. Thanks again.

***** The stores don't carry the 64gb version, they wouldn't sell me the phone outright unless I was a T-Mobile user already which is just stupid when I'm giving them $1000 for a phone. The stores in my area all said it would take 7 days of being on their network before they'd unlock it for me. Than the customer service sales rep who I ordered the phone through online told me 30 days. I got overnight shipping it was supposed to come in at 3pm but didn't till 7:30, at 5 I went to the local T-Mobile store to ask them to lookup my order, and also asked about the unlock time period since I'd already heard 2 different things, they're manager told me 45 days. So confused I called the customer service line again to ask about my phone and the unlock time period, my phone came in while I was on the line, so that was taken care of. But they told me it would be 45 days. So I heard 3 different answers in total, and the guy who SOLD me the phone, apparently gave me the wrong answer. When I'm paying $1000 for a phone they should let me unlock it right there. At&t of any of the other big 4 would. But T-Mobile is sort of like predatory lending they target lower income people and the business is built around it. That's why they were so reluctant to sell me the phone outright, they want me to lease it on their jump program then return it after its already paid off. I can't stand that side of them. Oh well at least I finally got the 64gb version without a carrier logo on the back.

I really like the phone it's just ridiculous the kind of stuff Samsung users have to jump through if they want a unlocked flagship. They just won't sell it to you, your best option ends up being T-mobile. I have to put up with their service on my edge for 1 and a half months now, which is just terrible, the first call I made on there service dropped... But there LTE is pretty fast at least. I'm also carrying around my G4 (I got a really good deal on it) so I can have my removable batteries, 128gb SD card, and it blaster. Having to go through all these hoops, even makes a hardcore android fan like me consider going to ios

I plan to write Samsung on this more formally, but I have an S6E and had no clue what was the purpose of the wrap screen. Frustrated with phone lockup and not able to run some apps. I left my old LUCID2 (of 3 yrs+) behind for this phone. YES, expensive for the 128 version but you should get what you pay for, right? NEVER did I drop the phone but after 31 days, the front screen developed a crack that radiated from the power button. IF you have a choice, stay away from this phone as this is a design flaw that Samsung and its store will NOT cover. Look carefully at this glass and you will recognize that if the case flexes at all, the current design erroneously requires this wrap-around glass to flex. Glass does not flex-an aluminum case, as in the NOTE5 could. That front screen is designed to fail and Samsung will not entertain ANY glass breakage. Company policy and the fact that their store actually tried to goat me in to arguing with them on the spot (as opposed to fulfilling my request for a corporate address on which to follow up) has insured that I will NOT purchase another Samsung product-phone or refrigerator! This phone is not build to last or worn on any curved part of your body. Just incase you are curious, I had the screen protector in place (helped me avoiding me cutting my fingers) AND the more expensive gorilla-type case installed. Insurance, yes but why should one pay a deductible for a design flaw? With a few months of enjoying the features, durability is of most importance since I tend to hold my phones for more than 2 years. Thanks Samsung for defining the next released iPhone as the superior product-regardless of what it may be.

While I understand that no traditional stylus is a complete substitute for the S Pen, truthfully, most of the functionality for the Note's pen can be duplicated by a high quality, fine-_tip touch screen stylus. I got the edge plus and invested money to get a premium stylus and find that note taking on Microsoft Onenote with it is a breeze. Once I decided that I was going to be one of those who spend $800 to $1,000 on a phone, looks were certainly a factor with me. I found the note 5 to be too boring to justify the cost. Many people, on the other hand, are calling the edge plus the best looking phone ever made.

This was my favorite Galaxy phone review by far. I didn't feel the need to stop the video whats so ever, instead i wanted to hear what else you had to say. I have the note edge and like you, wish that Samsung had continued with Note Edge line. I really love the second screen a whole lot but I also like the ability to take a quick notes. I am torn between the Note 5 or Edge or my Note Edge. I am not sure If it's really worth the upgrade. The only reason I am considering it, is that the ram management on the note 4 & edge isn't very good. The phones are very laggy and I hate that. I have tried the new phones and love the speed. This is how they should have all been running from the beginning.

I honestly will probably be buying the pink galaxy note 4. It's a cute color and has a removable battery and SD card slot. And is much cheaper now. I wanted the 6 edge plus but for some reason T-Mobile didn't get the color I wanted which was white. Very stupid imo. Ole well

So as of right now...the only functionality that the curved edges provide on the S6 Edge+ is swipe access to app shortcuts? That's extremely lame. Also...I can't seem to find this being reviewed anywhere...but how does watching video(s) or a movie look like on the Edge+? Does the actual video curve on both sides? I just got the edge plus today... yes its a really difficult decission but I'm not a s-pen person. I'm more fashion and the edge its a phone that you'll never see it in comparassion to another models of phones, so when people looks the curve on your phone they're already knows that you have the edge. And I only have this phone like 3 hours ago, and I'm in love. "But it's my opinion". First off.. I love this video. she said " you can feel which end even in the dark" lol! Very informative as well, I was on the fence about getting the edge and now really i'm on the fence about both. No sd card slot and the battery is internal? So far I am impressed with the samsung galaxy s6 edge+. The screen display quality is amazing but the flat design of the back makes it somewhat difficult to carry and use in hand. The functionality is very good. It has the best in call sound quality of any phone I have owned to date. works well for phone gaming. Battery life still poor. No memory card usable. No replacement battery function. Not water resistant. Overall very nice phone....would recommend....still expected better!

Has anyone using the Note 5 had issues with putting the S Pen back in and taking it out? I played with a Note 5 on display and many times the S Pen DID NOT lock back in!! It was very sensitive - you had to push it in with your thumbnail, and even then it didn't always lock in. Plus, with it being spring-loaded, isn't it possible that it breaks down? I'm not talking about the so-called "PenGate where it breaks when putting it in backwards... This S Pen malfunction is very disturbing. Comments?

I'm in the UK and I got the 32gb Note 5. Got it through the website eglobalcentral and I love it. I also only paid £445 for it which is a hell of a price. If it was officially sold here it would probably cost £550 to £600. it's my first Samsung smartphone and my first phablet and I love it. very fast.

Like you, making the choice between the two was not easy. I debated for two weeks. in the end, I used a car analogy. if I decided to buy a luxury car, and invest that much money in it, I certainly would want it to look like a luxury car. I wouldn't say, well even though it's ugly, it has a lot more tricks under the hood. So I decided if I'm going to spend nearly a grand on a phone, then it needs to be a stunning looking phone. Therefore I went with the edge plus. However, in the end, I think I would have loved either.

For business reasons obviously Samsung decide to just not put a pen inside the Edge+ or make it more edgy to make space for apps and notifications like the Note Edge. There is no reason the Note Edge shouldn't get a successor. The Note Edge is the most versatile phone ever made. For those that actually bother to use the Edge screen, its more than a gimmick

It's not a problem. It's just not a feature. The pen is designed to go in one way and people who put it in the wrong way are plain stupid because it can easily be avoided. Samsung also warns the consumer/s in the paperwork information about how the pen should be inserted. So it won't be Samsung's fault if it's broken because they did warn the consumer/s.

Yes it looks nice but I would be scared to drop this phone. So I need to have a case from which the design look becomes pointless. I´m coming from iphone 4, can´t decide between note 5 and windows phone, I like the pen, but android is meeh, I like the windows phone os more,, but windows phone has like no apps I was told, .....

android is becoming better, still not the best but i can't think of a windows phone that is better than a note 4

choose Android. trust me, I had iPhone 4s too (that small screen still makes me mad lol) and Android has a lot more apps, more variety, and it's very user friendly. Windows? I don't know much about it but what's the point of smartphone if there's no app for it? It's your choice though.

stick to ios, Google and Co got too much crap running in the background which makes no sense. Apple has control with what goes on, you get the sense of relief knowing your battery isn't wasted on unnecessary resources.

Note 5 is better because it got alot of cool stuff and the 6 edge just has a curved screen that makes it a nice phone.

+Alrighty Then I have a belief system as a consumer..buy a phone every years and i waited 3. I don't expect to be blown away annually so coming from a 2..perfect. if i had a 4..I'd wait for the 6..but removable back is dead for The Note Series.
