Have you tried the fingerprint scanner on a galaxys6 with the marshmallow update? Based on your video, I think the s7 and s6 perform similarly now. I'm surprised about the bottom speakers, some reviewers have said its muffled. Perhaps they damaged it under water? Square says the speaker can be damaged in water.

It's possible. I recorded audio against the iPhone 6s and they were pretty evenly matched. I wonder if water can get stuck in those smaller holes maybe?

hey Juan. I'm wondering if your g4 still works... Have you updated it to marshmallow? Many g4 units are having the bootloop (which is a motherboard problem) and screen burn-in issue. And LG knows it and they acknowledged it. It seems like the affected batches where the units that are having the serial number that starts with 500 to 511. and they probably have fixed it in the motherboards with serial numbers that starts with 600... but I'm not sure because they haven't said anything about it. And the screen burn issue is also common. I did not know its possible to an IPS display. In the Philippines, many are complaining about it. And no one knows how or when will the bootlooping starts. Although many have said that they updated their unit to marshmallow and it triggered the bootloop but no one can confirm that because some have bootloops before the marshmallow. What do you think about this? Does the Lg v10 have this issue too? PS. i know this is not related to the S7 but i wanna know cause I'm confused whether to buy the s7 or g5 or just save money and buy the g4 or v10. thanks! PSS. have you seen the technobuffalo's review on the S7 (not the Edge version)? Though both of you did a great job on each respect, their cinematography plus your content and delivery would be a PERFECT review. Just a suggestion you know... and sorry for they quite long read

JuanBagnell I'm between this two just because of the phone size. My hands are also small I love the looks of the edge screen, but not his bloody giant size as well. Does the edge version benefits really worth it? I don't care too much about the price, just the size T.T If we compaire the S6 edge normal, which feels good in my hands to the S7 normal, who wins in terms of hardware and software? Guees that the s7 for the water and dust protection. God, this is hard lol. I also loved yourt Hyper x II review, literally made me insta buy them :P

+Ben Rafter i am a s6 owner and in my opinion it is the best phone i have ever owned , it's amazing fast , since i bought i have never encountered any lag yet , the camera blows my mind everytime i snap a picture, the only downside is the battery life , for me am not a heavy user or an internet warrior so its enough for me , and then i got the 6.0.1 update i was like this phone was already perfect and now it feels like i have a new phone. and it's sooo not worth it to upgrade to the s7 thats what i think

It all depends on music file quality, the headphones you own, where you most often listen to music, etc. I don't think it's a radical overall difference, but it seems I have to dial the S7 up at least one click to match the output of the S6. This means that the noise (hiss or air) generated by the phone is also a tiny bit louder.

+Jon Coffey you just gotta get really good at looking at the photo output. Examining the color dynamics through a flux filter, you can see focal length distortions from the sub pixel array. If you take that and feed it through Lightroom, it should be either 7 nano-meters for brightcell or 11 nano-meters for Sony sensor. I'm totally kidding. Download AIDA64 from the app store.

Chuske 94' I'm not dumb, I just really don't care much for Samsung or Android in general having just switched from Windows. It's still very clunky and there's stuff that is backwards. For instance, if I lock my device, then unlock it, I won't have service for up to 30 seconds. This didn't happen on windows. And there's plenty more things that I dislike about Android, and have all right to. If I want a "nice" UNIX based OS, I'd use an Apple product.

JuanBagnell Hey it's totally my pleasure man, I like to help out :) Oh btw, not sure if you noticed but I sure noticed with other S7 reviews, the footage with all skips frames big time, I know in the slow mo it's pretty apparent but even with standard 30fps it's pretty skippy. I know it's not apparent but I thought i'd just bring it up. I think a lot of phones have this very same issue. Might be something to look for going forward. If you ever gain root on the S7, tinker with the I/O Scheduler, that may alleviate the issue.

Kyle Ruggles It's funny that the Qualcomm version of this phone might keep the locked bootloader. Sounds like Exynos versions might atually get root first (if they haven't already).
