Samsung’s website claims that one of the reasons to buy a Galaxy S7 edge is because hey - It’s a Galaxy. Because your phone should give you the freedom to do more. And it’s the least that it should do given the pretty penny you’re investing for one. But does it finally live up to all that marketing hype?
Not sure if you've noticed, but every time that we've reviewed a Galaxy flagship, there was always something missing. The Galaxy S5 had expandable everything, but we hated it's cheap plastic. The Galaxy S6 brought amazing build quality, but then expandability took a back seat. Never had there been a Galaxy that was able to balance the desires of everyone, And it seems that Samsung finally got the memo.

Confused with the comment regarding screen on time. My wife's GS6 gets less than 4 hours of Screen On Time, however my Note 3, 4 and currently the 5 have always gotten between 4.5 to 6 hours of SOT. Were you referring only to the S line specifically? As a Note user, I am very tempted with the S7 Edge. I'm really looking forward to finding out what Samsung has in store for the next Note...

I got the Australian version (Exynos) and have had over 30% by the second afternoon before charging and charges fast. Screen is great although often accidentally touch the edges when using. always on needs notifications. Upgraded from Xperia Z2 ( need water/dust resistance and micro sd)

I have to admit that what Jaime said in this review is mainly true.. I went to the shopping mall to try out the S7edge silver variant today and I was blown away... The phone is sooo sexy, the screen screams quality! Am currently using an iphone 6 and I will be due for a new phone in January :(. The last time I used a samsung (gs3)the screen was horrible and it lagged like crazy. Meanwhile on iphone 6 its has been such a smooth experience to use. But my main problem with iphone is that it limits you from doing what u like with ur phone. Fingers crossed till January..

my s7 edge got so hot yesterday while quick charging that when I touched the screen it cracked ! 1 week one.. when I called the insurance company asurion , they said they were completely out of replacements because the moment of the release of the s7 edge they started to get claims for screens cracking ! mine cracked by just sitting then and when I touched the hot screen it cracked... I got really dissapointed with the S7, using it as I were using my iphone 6S, I could barelly get 10h of battery vs 15h on my iphone. (All android apps were on power saving, wifi,NTFC, gps were off). I am still wondering if I shall have this 15h of battery with the edge ? Edge claims to have up to 20h of batery vs 10h on the S7 !

Right from First day I facing issue of apps getting crashed most annoying is getting "Unfortunately,com.samsung.faceservice has stopped" reported to samsung solution provided is Factory Reset. I have told them it is reproducible when we go Gallery each time, I expected if I tell the root cause they may fix it with some patch in future. I think this is smart stay feature issue I hope Samsung will take up this issue and work for Fixing it Even Overheating during charging did they miss adding cooling liquid for few phones?

I've just sent mine back. Most of what you say is correct, but some things mean I can't live with it. Screen sensitivity is horrendous, I couldn't pick the phone up without activating an app. Similarly, when calling someone to type in the correct number is a chore. I believe the Note 4 had a setting to adjust screen sensitivity but this does not. Regarding ram, simply taking to twitter wouldn't use much right? Wrong, I can't believe this thing is sucking 3GB of ram to simply use twitter. Try to use it with apps open in the background and the lag is prominent, simply touch Retweet or Fav and it stutters. Expandable storage is fine, but considering it doesn't have that great Marshmallow feature of allowing you to use as internal storage, seams such a waste. The phone is indeed beautiful, at least until you touch it. I got the S6 Edge in gold and that was the worst I've had, The S7 in black is beautiful and nowhere near as bad as the S6 Edge in gold, but it still leaves you worried about even touching it. Good points though, the screen is stunning. The wireless fast charge is a feature I'm already missing. Iff Samsung ironed out the problems I mention I would get this phone back. Now this may not be Samsung, it may be an android thing I don't know. If anyone does let me know: I have a Tune2air in my Audi which allows streaming over bluetooth. Via my iPhone 6s it displays every song, album and playlists. Over the S7 Edge is simply displayed Next or Previous. A way to correct this you know? I do love the S7 Edge, it's a beautiful phone with so much going for it. Gutted that some things mean I can't live with it.

after one year of owning an Iphone 6s, I bought the S7 Edge. Yes the iphones is fast and stable, but the lack of features, the fact that i have to exist the music app or the camera app to access the setting, the fact that i can't copy songs or files directly to my phone, i can't download a song, no true multitasking...thise fact and more made me ask myselft...why Apple? So i love the Edge
