kevin martin I haven't tried it so I can't really say except b4 installing it enter recovery mode & select the backup option & backup your current setup just increase anything goes wrong u can re-enter the twrp recovery mode to restore the back up using the restore option

Man how do I contact you, need advice on same tablet as this. Been trying to root it as you said but the odin software is not the same as you have on this video. And on left not changing colour. I have installed the drivers and keys installed but still nothing. So the problem I have is over Christmas someone backed up and restored it to new. But my problem is I need things that was on there for court but now I'm looking to root it and I found a program or app ( can't remember the name of the program) that I can't hen use to search the hard drive on the tablet I'm hoping this would work or do you have any other advice on this.

@xX GrowlingBerry Xx NO u havnt bricked it mate by the sound of things this root method is for the T530 model thats why it didnt work for u try hold down all the buttons power home volume up and down untill it switches off then poer it back on and see if everything works as normal

Whatever I try, it gets me to download mode. I've tried every key combination, but it just gets me back to download mode. I already tried taking out the battery for 5 minutes and putting it back in, but that didn't help. Oh lord I'm only a 13 year old dumb kid, I don't know what the heck I'm doing.

@ the begining you said it was easy, sure was. Just go slow follow the instructions and go. BTW get KIES from Samsung, it's free, good link for Odin though. After reboot mine asked for Super user request for Kernel Tuner app, if you say no then Root will not work. Thanks Doc

So I'm stuck on download mode and I can't find a way to exit. Do I need to take out my battery? If so, do I need to unscrew it, or can I just disconnect the plugins from it and reconnect them after a few seconds. I'm honestly scared, I followed everything on the website but after finishing with Odin, it said it's supposed to reboot itself. Well, for me it didn't, and I can't really do anything. I tried the button combinations several times, they don't seem to fix it. Please help me, or is this the definition of bricking your device? It's fairly new and I'm very upset. By no means do I blame you, but I really want to know wtf I did wrong. Anyway, if you know anything I can do, please do let me know. If not, well... Do you have suggestions? I really, really hope you can help. I really messed up.

check to see if u have the superuser app on the tablet if its not there download it from the play store
