G'day and thanks for this video, can i ask why you don't advise to replace the glass only? I tried to fix an old ASUS tablet years ago and the glass screen crack when i tried to close and screw it, is that the reason?

I advise against glass only replacement on this model in the video due to the glass being glued to the lcd, so there is a high chance of cracking and breaking it when trying to separate the glass

Question for you, I just replaced my screen on a Galaxy Tab A 10.5 SM-T597V. It powered on and had a nice display, but when i went to swipe it to open it. It did nothing, I triple checked my connections and made sure they were seated all the way. and still nothing, just display, not able to open it. What do i need to check or is something else wrong with the tablet? Thanks

That would be one of the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 models, which is a completely different model. Similar steps iirc, but incompatible screens
