I got an A8 at a pawnshop for like $130. For what I need im loving it no need for an ipad or a laptop. A bit slow but nothing that can be fixed by being patient and lowering g expectations.

I got a A8 Tab just the other day. 64GB 4GB ram model. And in very pleased. Its snappy, all games iv tried run at 60fps solid. The only thing i didnt like was the "washed" out colors of the display. But otherwise its fine. Very good tablet. for 479 in NZ thats somewhat top of the midrange sector. Im very happy with it. Iv also had a a7 lite in the past. And that was good aswell. a7 lites size was more managable but performance wise this Unisoc chip is actually really Fckn good... Like really good. Its faster than alot of snapdragon chips. 4GB ram isnt ALOT these days even for mobile but it is ENOUGH. even for gaming. Cod mobile, rocket league side swipe o can play on medium settings and get a solid consistent 60fps on both games. Even when its warm ot does not throttle and affect the games. Its got a pretty sweet smooth display. Its 60hz but it honestly feels like 75hz display. Its just smooth n snappy. Overall id recomment buying iy if you want a GOOD cheapish tablet. If you have a decent phone, s20, 21 ect, i wouldnt buy a tab s8 or anything. Id get this a8 tablet. Its not to substitute a phone. But it does everything well Runs 1080p 4k videos just fine without struggle. Its a great device. it also feels nice and built well. Kind of heavy to which backs up that premium feel to it. The brushed aluminium back is nice and corning gorilla glass on the front. If you can buy it, id say get it. You wont be dissapointed.

My guy, the unisoc tiger t618 processor doesnt even support 4k video playback. And even if it did, how will it able to run 1080p and 4k at the same time? 4k is a resolution just like 1080p. 4k can also be written as 2160p. But the processor just doesn't support 4k or 2160p playback

@@AXCBER I use youtube vanced and just select advanced options and some videos show 4k options. And it plays them back smoothly aswell. not sure as to the support behind it or specifics not my area haha. But i guess plqying a 4k file anyway still works and plays likenit should doesnt stutter ect

We just an a8 but it is awful, really slow and stuttery. Wifi connectivity is also awful.

One thing I think. you missed was charging, which is still limited to 15w. With the switch to unisoc Qualcomm qc2 and qc3 chargers for the most part do not charge at 15w but instead charge at 7. 5w. Only Samsung chargers with afc or pd chargers seem to be able to reach 15w (9v 1.67a) So if you have a bunch of qc2 or 3 chargers and don't have Samsung fast chargers or pd chargers it will take you 6-7 hours to fully recharge and that includes the charger which comes with the tablet. It is a slow not fast charger. I also dislike the flat edges over the rounded edges of my tab a 2018, but I guess I that's the price of progress.

For me, its a great tablet and I'm planning on buying it. I'm not gonna use it for work or stuff but that might change later. I'm getting it for media consumption. Yt, Netflix and prime video. I have a high end pc for all the work that I do but I watch a lot of movies and tv shows as well as a lot of youtube. Ive gotten used to my big pc screen and i just cant watch them on my phone anymore as everything looks so small. So I'd say for my work (media consumption) this is a great choice. The panel could've been better but for the price i think it's great. So that's my take.

@@quchi7232 yea. I've bought it and I've been using it daily for about a month now. It's great for media consumption, the size is just perfect and it's a good tablet overall. You said you have a laptop with an oled panel. Compared to tft panels, oled panels have darker blacks as the pixels shut off, oleds also have better viewing angles and the overall picture is a lot sharper with better colour. So I'd say, if you've gotten used to the oled screen, look for some other tablets with an oled screen but they'll be a lot more expensive. But if you're not much into the deeper blacks and sharper quality of the oled screen, the A8 is definitely a good choice for media consumption, some light reading and stuff. Hope this helps 🙂

Great reviews. Can you use a bluetooth keyboard with this? For non gaming use would you recommend ths or the s6 lite more or the Xoami M5 or perhaps go back to the s5e??

You can use a Bluetooth keyboard yes. I'd make sure you get the 64/128gb version of this tablet with 4gb of ram. The S6 Lite has similar performance as the 4gb version of this tablet but it does have the SPen if that's important to you. The Mi Pad 5 is a faster tablet for sure but it costs more - it's better though

I mean, I got it as a gift for buying s22 ultra, so I'm not complaining about a free tablet :D Except it is kind of lacking in features & the no s-pen support really makes me thing whether I should sell it... which wouldn't be so easy anyway, considering I'm not the only one to think that. Could it be somehow linked to the s22, so I can use the s-pen to draw/write on the phone, but view the work on bigger canvas on the tablet?

There's barely a difference in screen quality so i wouldn't let that put you off - I have both. The A8 is much snappier but having the 64gb/4gb of ram model probably is a big factor in that. Overall, a great media consumption tablet.

Well according to Samsung it's supposed to also be a productivity tablet. Unfortunately the IPad 9 completely beats the Tab A8 by a mile.

@@typhoon_8086 it's fine for light productivity tasks but it's a media consumption device primarily like all tablets. The iPad is horrific for watching movies with it's 4:3 screen aspect ratio meaning over half the screen is taken up by black borders. On top of this is the huge, ugly black bezels. Also, the sound only comes out of one side and you have limited storage space to load up your movies unless you pay insane amounts to get the 128gb model. With the Samsung you just bang in a 128gb micro SD card for a few quid and transfer your movies in minutes. On the iPad you have to break out the horrific iTunes and mess about just to get a bloody film or music track on your device. As a media consumption device the iPad is a total laughing stock - a complete joke!

An iPad is over ⅓ more expensive than the A8 here in the UK and while the resolution may be slightly better it's not a big upgrade. Who wants to watch a movie on an iPad anyway unless you love black borders filling half the screen.

The IPad 9 just works and does everything I NEED IT TO DO, and that is plenty enough for me. Besides, Android is struggling to create a Tablet OS even after years of Apples release of IPad OS. Disappointment. Got it brand new and for free with my Samsung Ultra 22 After 3 weeks of barely using it. It just suddenly stopped charging. Tried everything, but it wont charge anymore. At the same time the buttons seem not to work, it takes some time to power it on. I dont mind since i got it for free. But i wouldnt recommend anyone to buy this tab

Vado ad elencare i principali problemi: primo, scheda di rete pessima, perde in continuazione il segnale, se non si è davanti a un router non c'è possibilità di collegamento a internet; punto 2, si scarica velocemente e per ricaricare ci vogliono almeno tre ore perché non ha la ricarica veloce; punto 3 i colori non sono paragonabili anche a tablet della stessa fascia di prezzo... Insomma un tablet che ha le stesse caratteristiche di un tablet da 100€ firmato Samsung, spacciato da vari recensioni come un buon prodotto! Per la mia esperienza è un tablet penoso e che consiglio di non comprare. Provare per credere

Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!
