Which is the best stylus for the Samsung Galaxy Tab A8? Well, there is no great stylus for this tablet. Active pens like the Samsung S Pen are not supported and yes, I did try them. You can use pens made for capacitive touchscreens but are much worth. I cannot recommend them for handwritten notes or precise drawings. They are fine, however, if you want something simple for a very young child to paint with. Nothing precise, though.

Buy tab s6 lite if your budget is low. That is the cheapest s pen device. You can go for higher models like s7FE

There are two versions of the Tab A8. Buy the Tab A8 with S pen as it comes with the s pen included. If you check on Amazon, it will be about 200 bucks or so. I have one so I can personally tell you it exists lol

It's a little more expensive, but if you want a tablet with a pen on a budget for real art, seriously consider the S6 Lite. I've been using it for nearly a year now and it's honestly brilliant.

@MOVIE STATION Just tested it and both Samsung Notes and Artflow seem to have decent palm rejection. This is another example of why I like the S6 Lite so much. It's the cheapest decent tablet with a wacom quality pen you can buy at the moment, and although some features in the premium ones are missing, it's so good for the money. Also there is a new edition this year for the same money and has a better processor, wish I had that one XD

After asking which tablet would work with a stylus like the s pen, the guy at staples sold me a Samsung A8 and an S pen. Of course it didn't work. At first I thought it was me but checking on the Internet I started to get doubtful. And you finally put it right on the table and set it straight for me, thanks! I'm going tomorrow to return the tablet and get a compatible one...!

It is most unlike this reviewer to slip up, as he is generally extremely knowledgable about his subject matter, and thoroughly honest in his presentation.

Samsung has not made a budget tablet with S-pen for several years. The S-pen capability is nowadays reserved for its “S” series of premium tablets, and this only applies to Galaxy Tab 3 and onwards. Tab S and Tab S2 were not S-pen compatible. Thus the following are all compatible with any S-pen ever made, but all have been shipped with S-pen in the box: Tab S3, Tab S4, Tab S6, Tab S6 Lite (2 versions), Tab S7 series, Tab S7Fe, Tab S8 series and now Tab S9 series. Tab S5e was not made compatible with S-pen. Other S-pen compatible tablets from the past which may still be available used are - Note 8.0, Note 10.1, Tab A 7.9 with S-pen, Tab A 9.7 with S-pen, Tab A 10.1 with S-pen, Tab A 8.0 with S-pen. All of these have a small S-pen built-in a silo.

I have a desktop 10 years old pc, a samsung galaxy A52 mobile, a small intuos and yesterday I got through voucher for 9 euros my 1st tablet, the A8. I am an art school teacher and I often do drawings on A4 papers or on the class board with a marker. So even I am a bit sad about my choice I ll keep drawing on papers, scan them and working them more with intuos in photoshop. I think the best perhaps would be to have a mac and an ipad with an apple pen which is great. Cool but so expensive tools for my kind of art.

All S Pens work with all tablets that support the S Pen. The only difference is that the S8 and S9 series also supports wireless gestures for which the Pen needs a battery. But thanks for the idea, I'll make a video about it

I know, it is not your profile. But I want put your attention on simple graphics tablets that you can connect to any android device. For $30-40 you can buy a tablet from Xp-pen, Huion etc. With pressure sensitive, tilt etc.

Well he's not even talking about your tablet for a start so there's that. They're both garbage is the answer. Any stylus you're going to get on Amazon etc. isn't going to be great because you've got a cheap tablet that can only use certain types of pens. He quite clearly said the first option, the Amazon Basics Stylus, worked best on the A8.

All S-pens are the same with regards to draawing/painting and general use. ALL S-pens will work with ANY S-pen compatible tablet, regardless of the S-pen's size, shape, colour, or age. Samsung has kept S-pen capability consistent since the first S-pen in 2011.
