Hi Rick. First I find this DIY screen replacement explanation. A bit of a rushed repair, but with concrete explanation of what to do and what not.👍 Small tip from me.🤫🤭 What I found a bit of a shame, is that you first apply the B7000 Frame Adhesvie, and then test the new screen. It would be better for the "new DIYers", to show first test the screen by connecting the Flex cable and battery connector. Tablet on, and if the screen comes on then you know for sure that nothing else of connectors etc. has come loose during disassembly. Then disconnect battery and screen and put it safely aside, then attach B7000 and connect screen/battery etc. and place on the B7000. This prevents the "new" screen and yourself, from immediately getting under the B7000. (if you only test after you have reassembled the Tablet). P.s. It is only meant as a tip, not as a disapproval of your way of working.👃😉 Kind regards Tony🤜🤛😉 (ICT and Microelectronics engineer)

Is it necessary to disconnect the ribbon from both ends? Or can I just disconnect from the old broken screen end and connect to the new one?

I just followed your process minus disconnected from the battery end of that ribbon and it didn't work. Trying to figure out if the screen I got is bad or if I didn't follow your process correctly. The tablet did still charge and work with the broken screen and I made sure to have the battery charged before testing
