I just don't get 4:3 screens when a tablet is a media consumption device. The vast majority of videos being displayed will either be @ 1920x1080 or 1920x800. You lose so much real estate in the screen. What you gain in web browsing experience, ebook reading etc, you end up losing when eatching videos, movies etc. Look @ 20:06 in this video, the black lines above and below are ridiculous and it gets even worse when watching a film @ 1920x800. Imho a 16:10 screen for tablets is a better compromise.

r91976 4x3 is optimized for users who plan on using their tablet heavily as a reader (it's a more pleasant long term reading experience). Complex PDFs shine on this resolution, and I tend to prefer web browsing on the wider upright orientation, as well. It's sort of a trade off, depending on your use case scenario. For me, this is preferred, but you're right about widescreen being better for heavy video users. They keep toggling back and forth between the two because no matter which way they go, they can't make everyone happy. Bit of a merry war between the power users. ;)

I was talking about the design I know that the Android had multitasking long before ios but for me the design had stolen. They stole the iPhone 6 design and create galaxy S6 now the tablet design. I am not using just apple devices actually in my live I had been just 1 apple device (iPad air) and I love it. I am using Sony smartphone but it's not the best for me. All the things that I mention above its just my opinion no bad intentions.

Thanks for the review. Thorough as always! I was surprised I like this tablet as much as I do after owning the original Tab S, but it actually does perform better! Miss the IR Blaster and 16:10 for video though! Thanks for showing the plastic on the camera lens...It was sticking so tightly to the lens I missed it! Hoping for a new Note tablet but with their rumored monster 18" tablet, I have a feeling it won't be coming anytime soon. Also pleasantly surprised S Voice is not on board...is it gone for good ( I hope)!

Maybe it's not to late for the answer: I believe it was 9.7" version, based on side frame size and the distance between buttons and bezels. He's probably using 8" version when showing the camera and right at the end of the video.

I hope stock android picks up split view for tablets on android 7 this year. The lack thereof is one of the biggest and only drawbacks of the pixel C and nexus 9. The X1 and K1 ought to be able to handle split view, as they're both pretty powerful chips.
