6 months per tip is pretty good. The tip on my adonit dash3 on my tab a10 with a matte screen protector also lasts about a semester each.

My s Pen had worn out pretty quickly so I bought a replacement kit. I was surprised by how easy it is, pull the old tip out, slide the new one in, and then it's done, works perfectly even though it is indeed a little more slippery than the rubber tip but nothing you can't get used to. ( I got my tips of Amazon for 9 euro : pack of 5 tips)

OMG YES. thank you so much for this video. Mine started fraying on the tips when I look at it with a macro lens on day 3. I draw on it a lot as an artist and even wacom pens sometimes get destroyed by me. This video gave me a huge peace of mind, Im going to order the nibs right away.

I got mine for drawing yesterday and I'm already seeing this on my nib. How is it evolving so far? I have a mate screen on my s6 lite so I expected it to wear out much faster

@@kyozoutenno6239 I just received the replacement nibs, first thing I noticed is that there's no rubber tip on the nib, so drawing or anything feels really slippery on a tempered glass screen protector, so I removed the protector and use it for the few days, honestly it feels cheap, not to mention i scratched the screen without a screen protector, the nibs is too soft and i already break almost 3 out of 5. With the screen protector on I feel like the little dust particles really grinds the nib down. If you used apple pencil before, it felt exactly like that but the nib is so freaking soft you can't press down hard like Apple pencil. So I'd recommend you to buy in large bulks if you use the pen a lot on a matte screen, since its still cheaper than replacing the whole pen which is roughly 50 dollars.

I broke the tip accidently but didnt find replacements in the box. i went to the store i bought the tab s8 from and they couldnt help and said u have to buy a new pen. I went to samsung store and no nibs. Thanks for this video, very weird that samsung doesnt sell nibs or doesnt consider that the nibs can wear out or break... used to like spen more but now after all this apple pen is more reliable

I'm a little disappointed by Samsung... no replacement tips in the box and it wears out so quick! I drawed 6 to 7 pictures and the tip was done... I didn't press hard nor did I used it wrong... disappointed!

If your pen tip is so worn out that u can't grip it properly with the included metal remover thing use nail cutters instead. It's what helped me.

If anyone is facing a problem like a tip is broken and the back is still stuck in the pen itself. Then get a safety pin, heat it, and then insert the safety pin in the pen and hold it for some seconds and slowly pull it out, the broken tip will surely come out.

Replacement s-pens, nibs, and tools are readily available on ebay, reasonably priced. But... be careful to get the nibs for your s-pen. Not all s-pens, and not all their nibs, have been the same. I've been using s-pen since the Note 10.1 2014 version. Samsung *really* needs to up their game tremendously when it comes to their s-pen and nibs replacements. It's up to you to search, and have some trials and errors. Customer Service is utterly zero help in getting nibs. Sometimes new s-pens are available from Samsung; I've never been able to find nibs from them. And old s-pens are unavailable. It's easy, as well, to be sold "original Samsung" via third parties, and find that they are knock-offs. I really like the Samsungs and s-pen features, but the lack of certain, easy s-pen and nibs replacements has gotten to be very close to a deal breaker for me at this point in time. Hate sayin' it, but iPad pencils, tips, and decent knock-off pencils are abundant and reliable.

Idk if ALL the nib on Samsung's stylus, wether it was the note series, the tab series, the S series, or the S pen itself, are interchangable but I've tried to use the free spare nib that comes with Samsung note edge to fix the nib on my Samsung Tab A 2015' stylus, and it worked wonder~ I was scared that it would'nt fit at first, since I inherited the Tab A from my parents and they don't know if the Tab comes with the spare nibs or not (they bought the Tab in 2017 and have lost the box a long time ago), so I just rummaged the old phone boxes that I can find at home and finally found the spare nibs in the Samsung Note Edge 2014 box. Thank god it worked! Now I got 5 spare nibs for free and didn't have to search around the internet to buy the knocked off one for cheap or pay a load of sum for the official one :')

Hi there, I was using my galaxy tablet s6 s pen to do something then I figure out a bad smell around me so I was sniffing where the smell come from. Then I found out is my s pen smell burning or plastic smell. I brought last October 2020, I don't used much my s pen. What should I do? Try to contact samsung live chat but no one there.

I can't find anyone that had the same issue as me. I've purchased nibs from a trusting seller and the nibs just don't work. I use my S6 Lite mainly for study, and when i write on Noteshelf. Samsung Notes or even Squid, the digital point (that blue-ish dot that appears when the S-pen nib is close to the screen) just keep moving to any direction while I write, which is a HUGE problem. Unfortunately I had to give the nibs back and the seller gave me full refound, but I'm really sad that I'll have to buy a new S-pen when this one gives up.

I replaced the nib on my s6 Lite with a replacement nib from my Wacom Intuos and it registers just fine, the only issue is that I now have a hovering issue. I will admit that I did have to press the Wacom nib in pretty hard, I basically jammed it in by maybe idk a 16th of an inch? It was just a teeny tiny bit sticking out. I guess my question is if there's a way to take the s6 Lite pen apart? I draw a lot and the hover issue is a bit annoying. I've been using the pen from my Note 8 and it does the job just fine, but I would like to use the weightier pen that came with the tablet.
