I honestly havent used my kamvas 13 any since getting this tablet, it completely replaced it, and honestly feels like a upgrade coming from kanvas 13 and using photoshop, clip studio paired with the tab s7 plus is honestly great, I have the 6gb version, and have pushed clip studio with around 200 or so layers and did a full 60 hour illustration on it, getting almost no slow down even toward the end of the illustration

100% agreed I had a issue with my Kamvas 13 pen when it arrived had to wait about 3 weeks to get a new pen. By three time it came I had the tab s7 plus and comparing the two for a bit. I just seen no reason to use it anymore over the tab s7 plus. It is an excellent piece of hardware!

I’m glad a reviewer finally mentioned heat Would i feel heat when my palm resting on the screen?
@C.Wilson4 жыл бұрын
Yes you will feel the heat on your palm. Especially if you use the case. I turn the device upside down because the flip cover case provides a nice little lift, providing a decent drawing angle and after about 25 minutes you can feel it start to heat up and get a little warm right by the front facing camera.

I’ve always hated the surface pen. IMO always lagged behind the Apple Pencil and Wacom tech
@C.Wilson4 жыл бұрын
This is true. The surface pen one of the things I didn't like but I've been using it since the first surface when they had Wacom and started to adjust how I would draw. Then I would try other things but would come back to the surface. Now having the 120hz plus Wacom emr samsung pen and a bigger display, my surface pro collecting dust. Though still use Surface Book 3 because it jack of all trades.

Hey, fellow artist here using this for sketching. I noticed on a plain white background a "rainbow prism" effect when tilting the screen. Very noticeable at extreme angles. Wanted to check if you or others see this as well and if it's normal? Is it the way amoleds react (s7+) or should I be concerned? Thanks!
@C.Wilson4 жыл бұрын
Looking at mine I'm not noticing any of the rainbow prism look. This is just a guess but I believe that's a bad onlyophobic coating on the glass causing the rainbow effect.
@MadMartiganz4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the quick response. Much appreciated! Yeah its been bugging me quite a bit. Its great looking straight on but a little tilting reveals some of that rainbow banding. Heres a pic of it at an angle pasteboard.co/JHQk5zx.jpg

@@MadMartiganz ooo after trying the same angle I see it as well. It's definitely the amoled and the coating causing it at these angles.

I am worried about the heating part of things. That can wear down the tiny chips etc....which means it may not last as long as other devices. I have never had a heating problem on Samsung before...so that is a worry for me. :( I am still thinking of getting it, but with a LONGER warranty! Thanks for your impressions....:)

No problem it's an awesome tablet especially for artist. I've been observing the heat from it and it does still kick in where I feel still getting warm but never to hot to concern me. Warranty definitely is ideal.

I'm still very confused about which one should I go for This or ipad pro My aim is digital art and note-taking and studying
@C.Wilson3 жыл бұрын
The way I look at it is you have to ask yourself what ecosystem you want to be apart of. Reason why I say that is mainly Apple has longevity on it's side with quicker updates and procreate for digital art. Now the reason I would personally lean towards the Tab S7+ is for the fact, Art Apps are solid and Samsung relationship with Microsoft gives it excellent note taking abilities with it's ties to Microsoft office products. Now if your not in a Microsoft ecosystem or don't care for them I would go with iPad Pro. The playing field has never been more equal at this point. Apple still has a slight advantage in apps are quicker to update and give them extra support compared to the Tab S7. So it comes down to what ecosystem you want to be apart of to make your life easier. I hope that helps.

One reason I want this tablet is to use it for animating in CSP. I have a cintiq pro 13 but want something more portable. How is this when handling animation and how optimized would it be for more professional level animations?
@C.Wilson4 жыл бұрын
CSP is very optimized for the tab S7+. I would say this is more suited for light animation. The UI is close together making it suggest somewhat hard to press certain buttons. Also after extended use in CSP it gets a little warm. The biggest drawback is unlike Windows and Mac there is only a subscription based payment method. Now when handling animation it's relatively good and isn't lacking in power. 120hz display makes working on animation smooth. When I typically do more serious work, I end up getting out my surface book 3 because the 15in screen but if your after portability and animation the Tab S7+ is excellent devices for the task.
@Jaugarez4 жыл бұрын
@@C.Wilson would you recommend this to someone who has a cintiq or just to hold off on it? Haven't had a chance to test the S-pen out but I do know it's softer than the felt tip on the wacom. Is this somewhat of a problem not being able to get the full range of pressure sensitivity?
@C.Wilson4 жыл бұрын
@@Jaugarez if you plan on connecting the cintiq to this then I would say no. The amount of features you'd loose when connected would make the purchase not the best. Example being the 120hz display with the lower latency. I have a kamvas 13 and it felt so held back when I connected the 2. So I would only get this if your plan too make it your primary device for art. As far as pen tip your correct the spen pen tip not as firm but you can use another pen. If I remember correctly it's made by samsung but looks like a number 2 pencil pen tip from the reviews seem to be a bit firmer.

@C.Wilson4 жыл бұрын
S7+ is a great device but if you have a mac/windows device you connecting the huion to, I would suggest keeping that set up if your using Adobe programs for you art. S7+ is held back by Android not having certain apps that animators and artist use. So if your held down by stuff like Adobe, Toon boom, and other professional apps then I would make the leap of switching to the S7+. Hope I was able to help.

Hello Cédric I yesterday I ordered the Tab S8 for 804$ ( where I live ) . With no gifts and only the graphite color is available . And I wanted the silver . They suggested me the S7 ( navy blue) with 750 $ . Do you think is it worth ? I really like that blue color and it has a charger .. but in the other side I am afraid about the 6 Ram size . And the android updates . I am going to use the Tab for drawing , and samsung second screen for drawing . Please help me to choose between S7 or S8

For $50 difference I'd go for the tab S8. You'd get better specs and quicker updates. The ram is also a bonus when it comes to multi-tasking.
