After watching this review I went for the S7 FE, the local telco had an excellent deal. I am super happy. 21:14 I'd add to your conclusion that with the SuperDisplay the S7FE is an excellent second monitor for a Windows laptop/desktop. I was on the point of buying a Wacom/Huion/XP-PEN drawing tablet when I saw your videos. After having the S7FE for a couple of weeks now, I am super happy. And the drawing app Concepts was a brilliant recommendation from You, too.

Only one thing, but it's a major to me: my favorite drawing app, Concept on Android has a lot less features as on iPad, and has a number of annoying behavior. So, if You are a Concept fan, You'd better buy the lot more expensive iPad instead of any Android tablet. During this 10 months Concept developers did nothing on the Android version, a shame on Concept team.

Hey guys just wanna let you know what I found. It's called the Ringke Screen Protector, I got my for FE, and the cool part is that it has Rounded Edges, so it's a nice smoo5h transition onto your screen, there is no lip at all so it won't get caught or come off or rub against your finger. It's great.

Good review, but would be nice if you could put a text on the screen telling what device you're using at a given time.. As in, if you're using the FE, then put a text in the corner so we know what's what. In this case, they look almost identical, so I got a bit confused.

Already have a guion kamvas 13 with my computer (and with a laptop) but am in the market for something more portable (laptop is a big clunky and heavy gaming laptop). So I was thinking of getting a cheaper and smaller and lighter laptop and bring my huion along. (Saw the S8 and S7+ but felt those would be too expensive for my needs) and seeing this review really convinced me that the S7FE would actually be great and suitable for my needs instead (And a lot cheaper and MUCH more portable than my initial thoughts!) Clip Studio Paint Pro has a ton of unique features, I recommend a KZbin vid like "Top 10 coolest thing you can do with Krita!" or something like that. How has been the tablet experience so far? Hello Theo, thanks for the fair review of this product. I am not a drawing guy, but more on research, organizing, writing, editing pdf notes,surfing and multitasking. I am considering the power and performance of the s7 but my only comment is the screen size, for the s7+ its beyond my budget. Do you recommend the s7 FE if it can handle the aforementioned tasks despite its average snapdragon 750 chipset?

S7FE should be able to handle those tasks. Just get the model with 6GB RAM if possible. Otherwise go with the S7 which can be connected to a monitor too.

I bought the tab s7 FE for just a few very specific reasons over the Plus and regular s7 11" that doesn't include price. First, I always have a lot of trouble with Screen Burn In on Oled displays, and I prefer a larger screen, FE is larger than the regular s7 and won't burn in, so that was a no brainer for me. Second, the 60hz refresh and slightly lower res is going to save a lot of the battery life especially when watching movies and such when a high refresh is not needed, opposed to the s7 which has a Fixed 120hz refresh rate. so it should out perform on battery life in most departments. Third, I am an Artist and I notice that Samsungs Samoleds colors aren't true to print and true to life. So when I draw something, the print always looks vastly different on samoled, FE and s7 11" don't have this issue. LCD is also a much cheaper and easier replacement than Samoled. The downsides for me is not having a Flashlight, I don't use the camera much. But I do use the flashlight at work a lot, so I'll still have to pull put my phone for that. And you might miss the 2 extra speakers, but honestly without having something to compare the FE speakers to in person, you will be very happy with the sound. Last is the Processor, which runs apps perfectly fine, maybe just not as Super Fast as the other 2, but it works just fine for just about everything, just make sure to get the WiFi model. If you need lte then just run it off the Hotspot of your phone, you'll never need an LTE tablet again. FE is still most definitely a great buy in 2022 for $350usd.

Hi Teoh, have you ever considered doing a review of your M1 Macbook Air/M1 Mac Mini? I recall last year you were a little skeptical with ram limiations/arm architecture when it came to drawing software before the M1 line of Macs launched.

I've already recorded the review for that and will publish in a few day's time. I bought one with 16GB RAM and it works really nicely. 8GB RAM should be fine unless you have many, like a lot, apps open at the same time and using them (e.g. exporting videos in the background). If you want to keep the Mac Mini for a long time, I recommend upgrading the RAM. You can save money by not going with the storage upgrade. Consider Microsoft 365 which is US$69 per year which will give you 1TB online storage. With Apple, it's $200 more to upgrade from 256GB to 512GB. Microsoft 365 is also a backup so you'll never lose your files. Or just get an external SSD drive. Cheaper too.

Also has LOUD audio, even tho the speakers aren't in necessarily prime locations it really projects!You do need to get a case for this bad boy IMMEDIATLY though as it doesn't come with one.Battery life is really good! Standby time us FANTASTIC. This guy can go about a week on standby and be just fine. The screen is massive so the longer you have the screen on, brightness especially, it will effect battery life. I am very happy with it though!One thing that I didn't consider is that since the screen resolution is so high, viewing ticktocks/ reading webtoons can be slightly blurry. There is no way to turn down resolution either, so it just be like that.Would still judge this bad boi at 10/10 for my first tablet. I've had it 3 months now and its not shown any evidence of "slowing down" or anything. Love it!

Hi! Can tab s7 fe handle multiple layers? I do art commissions and stuff on a daily basis, and my layers can sometimes go upto 40+ layers. I usually work on 1770x2006 px with 300dpi. Do you think it will lag?? Can it handle heavy drawings?

Glass screen protectors may affect pen performance. Matte screen protectors will wear off the soft nib of S Pen faster. Matte screen protectors have to pair with hard plastic pen nibs.

There is some cashback promo in my country so price for s7 fe would be around 425$ (FE 6gb 778g processor) and around 500$ (S7). I think size and price directs me towards FE. I probably would go with the Tab S7 because the processor is noticeably more powerful and provides for a lag-free experience. That's not to say the S7 FE is laggy though, just that S7 is more powerful. However, I do prefer drawing on a much larger display. So, difficult choice. lol. In terms of value for money, the cheaper one is better.

Altough the processor could be confusing - there are two versions of FE one with 750g (5G) and one with 778G (6gb wifi). On geekbench 750g is 41% slower than 865 and 778g is 20% slower - so 778g is exaclty between those two processors(865, 750). I think this could be inrfomation useful to other readers! By the way I was watching Your instagram lately and Your style is definitely cool and unique.

Perhaps the Samsung since it's cheaper. Actually consider the Tab S7 instead of the S7 FE because Tab S7 has a noticeably more powerful processor, more RAM, 4-way speakers, 120HZ display.

Solid review and brilliant artwork, Teow!👍 TFT not LCD display. Do you know the function of the s-pen side button? I bought the WiFi 4/64 GB version (features SD778G chipset) x2 for my kids as a replacement for their outdated Samsung budget tabs and probably should have invested the extra 100$ to upgrade to 6/128 GB version. Paid 429$ cad. I like the large display and battery life. Much easier on their eyes.

The 6/128 is only $90 CND more right now, it's worth it to future proof your tablet a little longer. I suggest you return them if you still can and get the 6/128 model.

@@deleqtronica8733 Tempting upgrade but bear in mind I started at 350$ budget with the S6 Lite. How much longer can I extend the tabs life with additional 2 Gigs RAM considering the battery is non-replaceable? I can increase storage up to 1 TB with expandable memory so 128 Gigs is no biggy.

@@hz240 I don't think extra 2GB makes a difference for everyday tasks. There was a comparison and it was stated the extra RAM is useful if you plan on opening multiple apps at the same time.

S7 FE may be better. The display is much better quality, larger, battery life is 14 hours.
