I got the giga-monster 1tb storage, 16gb ram version myself, and the battery is unreal. The battery wasn't even phased after 3 hours of HD youtube content. I really need to find some good video editing apps, some photo editing, and maybe some decent games to play on it. It's such a powerful machine with apps that don't seem to utilize all that processing power.

Mine is the S8 Ultra from last year, but it's basically the same, like you said. I just love it and hardly ever boot up my PC. So much better than my iPad Pro 12.9 inch. I'm a Samsung knight for sure.

Apple is vastly superior technologically when it comes to iphone , ipad and MacBook and they don't compete with samsung...😅 have u heard the news of their monopoly.. their a12x chipset from 5 years ago is faster gpu wise compared to the Gen 2 .. the m2 chip is 10 years ahead of the snapdragon 8 Gen 2... there reason why most people buy ipad and iphone is due to great optimization and it always works unlike samsung.. with apple everything binds together harmonically.. samsung can have the best specs but will still lag behind apple... yt professional all use iphone and ipad ....

File management is atrocious, sending files to it and from it to non apple devices is just frustrating and it has nothing on DEX, stage manager is a joke. Shame it has the hardware but it is just a glorified media consumption device. So yeah now I am looking over at the other side for something that can actually replace my laptop for light use (most of my use) that can actually interact well with a windows pc without all the frustrations of Ipad OS. But if Ipad OS would not be so limited, it would eat into their Mac sales so until then all this power for nothing.

For the screen protector that has privacy features...I believe you need to turn on increased Touch Sensitivity in the display settings. Its for usage with gloves and protectors, etc.

I'm sure someone has already mentioned it b/c it's been a few months but if you have the privacy screen on (or another screen protector), you can go into Display Settings and turn on "touch sensitivity" to make it work better with touches and swipes

There's more differences between the 8 and 9 Ultra than people think. If you do a Quick Share side by side, the 9 is crazy faster. Quick share a 4k file and it'll download 3-4x faster on the 9.

yeah its true I use both the S8 Ultra and S9 Ultra (crazy good deals from Samsung on both). I noticed the speed bump right out of the box. I use it for a Dex two sceen set up so it's literally always multitasking 4 apps. Not one lag or stutter. I got the 500 GB version because they weren't offering as good a deal on the 1 TB but honestly it's not worth the extra $600 I would have paid.

I just got my tab s9 ultra and In my opinion it's the king of all tablets and the king of all mobile devices. It's a great combination with my s23 ultra and my galaxy book 3 pro 360.

You may have already found this out by now, but in case you haven't: In your review of the Tab S9 Ultra, you wished that it had an always on display. Though not quite an AOD, I noticed that a clock icon appears in the bottom left corner of the screen when my Ultra is plugged in. When I tapped on it, I was taken to a clock, the weather, and other useful screens. I also found that this can be adjusted in settings under Display then Screensaver. Enjoy! I'm still rocking my tab s7 plus and it still runs flawlessly the battery life is still amazing after all these yrs I still use it for gaming media and use Dex for work it's absolutely the best line of tablets ever made in my opinion I have an iPad pro and it's got dust on it 😂 it just can't do half the stuff my Samsung can oh and no expandable storage on the ipad which is a major issue for me

I've had my Tab S8 Ultra since a little after it came out. I've had the Samsung $350 keyboard and back and no issues. Naturally you'll treat this like a premium product and not try to destroy it. I tote it to and from school daily though

Was expecting a review of the regular Tab S9, since the Ultra is basically unchanged, as is the Plus. The base Tab S9 is by far the most interesting model this year. Finally after years a high end portable tablet with top specs and an OLED screen. That's where it's at as far as I'm concerned.

That's the one people will actually buy.... A $1,200 Android tablet with a $300 keyboard is more of a halo product. It'll get all the reviews but practical people will get the 11-in model mostly. I do wish they had 512 GB , they had that with the tab S7 And the last two years when I go to trade in you didn't have that option. So I just hung onto my old one. But at least you got the SD card so that's a pretty nice consolation prize😊

I got the S7+ 5G and will probably upgrade to S9+. Ultra is just too big for my usage, but for me the huge benefit with S9 series is the higher brightness of the screen and the new CPU. Another bonus is the extra 4GB ram for us multitaskers.

Other than always on display, I'd also like a headphone jack with my tablet. Sometimes the bluetooth headset runs out of battery, but I still need it to watch my family show with the privacy screen... Also, S Pen should be able to fit inside the tablet. Other than that, this is a beast.

I agree about the built in S pen. Make the tablet thicker, give it a comparable cooling system to the s23u, double the battery size. Especially for the Ultra tab, the cooling would give it a performance edge.

I upgraded from the 7+ to the 9+ and not much of a huge difference but I noticed the battery life is better for sure between the 2. I just got the 256GB. I want the ultra but won't get the ultra until they add 5g to it

@djmervizzzy They are the exact same in my opinion, not really worth upgrading. I gave my 3 year old my 7+ was the main reason for my upgrade so he can have his own tablet for learning & cartoon videos. You really won't know the difference at all between the two devices to be perfextly honest. I would wait until the 10+ or even the 10 ultra which I kinda hope for next yesr that they make the ultra series a 5G unit as well.

Bruh a large OLED 120hz screen, extremely thin body wirh thin bezels, and IP68.. hardware wise this is king. If only android matched ipadOS in terms of app optimization. Regardless i do think most of the apps i'd actually care about are supported. IG works better on Galaxy Tabs than iPad, even if its a workaround. Credit where credit is due

Floss, was just perusing KZbin to check out Tab S9 videos, as my Tab S6 was running out of space, so I traded it in on a Tab S9. It isn't the Ultra, but it's a marvel nonetheless. Took 3 days get setup and all the data copied over. Loving it! Thanks for what you do, it's a yuge help. The one I really want to see, is the 14" Tablet that can fold, that would be the ultimate tablet for me. I'd be really impressed if they could release one with a detachable keyboard that folds with the tablet.

I upgraded from the 8 ultra to the 9 ultra simply because of the ip68 rating.i cook a lot and use my tablet to watch videos and have the recipe on hand. I'm always nervous that imma accidentally spill on my tablet. So honestly when I saw the ip68 I was like I'm definitely upgrading. It also allowed me to upgrade the storage and the ram as I got the 500gb and 12 ram last time.

I enjoyed another video Flossy. Question: if using the tablet as a monitor with a laptop, can each device have different things on the screen for multitasking. Example can the laptop display a word document while the tablet display has Instagram?

Yes you can extend the display instead of mirroring if you want

Love your videos man, such honesty and humility. I have the Samsung Tab S9 plus (which I'm using to write this), also the Tab S8 Ultra and standard S8. I think there are some rear camera differences between the S8 and S9 ultra meaning that the keyboard cases aren't fully compatable. I'm still waiting for a good deal on a keyboard for my S8 Ultra.

The display isn't same on s9 ultra. It has upgraded version compared to s8 ultra.The s9 ultra has Dynamic AMOLED 2X, 120Hz, HDR10+ with vision booster, while s8 ultra has Super AMOLED, 120Hz, HDR10+

The chipset alone is worth the upgrade 100% 8 gen one to the 8 gen 2 big difference runs way cooler more powerful just everything's better with that chip and also having the newest so getting the software updates first there's a lot of different things the reason why I would upgrade but I don't have any of those tablets I do want the S9 ultra

Wow you are so right about this tablet. I got it today with the official keyboard case cover with the trackpad and backlighting....is so great. My old case did not have the lights...love it. Due to a mix up a few years ago I got the keyboard case for the s seven plus for free. So that kind of took the sting out of this ridiculous price of this current one. Really loved my s seven plus but this just knocks it out of the park. I had a ton of discounts and e credits and all sorts of stuff that really took a lot of money off and made this workable with samsung and best buy. Speakers are great too. Between this and the 24 ultra, I'm all techied out 😂

I liked my Tab S8 Ultra so much, I bought the Tab S9 Ultra just to experience the awesomeness all over again. Was it worth the upgrade? You know, I stopped asking myself that question a long time ago. I feel it saves a lot of time. I don't recommend this approach.

As an M2 iPad Pro 12.9in owner. I’m glad that there is now actual competition in the market. Apple has been too lazy the past years with their iPad updates due to the fact that there is no competition. Now that Samsung has taken the 👑, I hope this lights a fire under Apple’s ass to give us a much needed iPad upgrade.

We SHOULD finally be seeing the 14 inch Ipad Pro next Spring (with snazzy new OLED screen), which will help a lot, hopefully without the Samsung notch. That being said, the M2 Ipad Pro still runs circles round the 8 gen 2, both on single core as multicore, so saying this tablet is the best on the market is far too black/white. I'd say Samsung for better screen, better form factor as laptop replacement (DEX), but Ipad for better performance and apps that have actually been made specifically for a tablet. Value for money, probably Samsung, but then, they aren't exactly cheap compared to the competition and Ipads have proven to age and retain value very well.

Most chips are fast enough for most people.. I don't notice the difference between my iPad and the Samsung.. I barely touch my iPad now.. I'm now thinking of getting rid of it.. And why is a notch a Samsung notch.. if this is the case can Samsung get royalties?

@@michaeldendulk2230 I think that most people will be fine with either or, as the m2 core is rarely fully used unless you're someone who is processing heavily edited videos or maybe rigging something in 3D. Maybe he meant the King in overall experience. I was deciding myself which one to get, and I realized that the Ipad Pro (12.9) only comes with 8GB of ram unless you buy the 1TB storage, which starts at around $1800, bear in mind that this is without the pen (which, in Samsung comes included), and the keyboard (Samsung includes the slim keyboard in current purchases). EMR styluses are more compatible with Samsung devices. The 8GB for all iPad pros under 1 terabyte was the buzzkill for me personally. It's not something I can replace later on, so I ended up preordering the s9 ultra that comes with more ram for a reasonably lower price.

they;ll never do that- Apple limits its software despite advertising a laptop chip in the iPad so you buy an iPad and a MacBook instead of using one or the other @@suaveeze
