Returned my 5 pro on tuesday after 2 weeks of use and exchanged it for a 4 classic. I get 2 days and 2 night out of the 4 classic and got 2 days and 3 nights out of the 5 pro. Same exact software and same exact chip is definitely not worth paying extra $400 for less than 24hours extra of battery and no rotating bezel. The 4 clasic is a stunning watch, the 5 pro is hideous (my opinion) and i simply couldn't deal with no rotating bezel. 5 pro $800 (Australian) 4 classic ($400 Australian) Double the price for what is essentially a massive downgrade. Also, no need for continuous HR, you save a tonn of battery by setting it to every 10mins, you don't need continuous especially since it automatically turns continuous once you start a workout anyways.

Couple things There’s no way you getting 48 hours on the 4 classic at best 1day couple hours I mean I wouldn’t sacrifice the 5 pro almost 7 days battery life FairPlay your love for the rotating bezel from my experience the swipe & touch bezel better in my experience Design size does it matter it’s a smart watch not a Rolex

@@bigmaxcc there's no way you're getting 7 days with the 5 pro tf? It's a 3 day battery with minimal/avergage use. The 4 classic 46mm easily gets me 50hours and then some ESPECIALLY since the new update has improved battery. And yes, design/looks and most importantly practicality are some of the biggest and most important factors. The 5 pro is not only by far the ugliest smartwatch on the market, and that includes the hideous new pixel watch, but that pathetic, black haptic finger bezel is a joke.

@@colmastro4373 5 pro supposed to have almost double the battery size (compared to 4 classic). not sure why it only last one extra night only. May be it had continuous heart rate tracking on and it was 10 minutes on the watch 4 classic? Does watch 4 and watch 4 classic have same battery size?

I have an old active 2, but functional. On battery saving mode, I can do 6 to 7 days without charging and only counting footsteps and show time when I press a bottom. Nothing more. You know, Simple things. I also know that this kind of battery mode safe doesn't exist on the newest models. IDK why. But now I learned from your video that it's possible to turn heart rating to manual and I will see how much time I have gain from that experience on battery regular mode. 😊 Thank you.

@@juandiegosarmiento137 i turned off aod, hey google, and never use the sensors like hr, blood oxygen etc. Gps turned off and wifi, only Bluetooth. Normal use is 4-5 days. With battery saver on and airplane mode, 5-7

I just bought a 5 Pro off Amazon. It is about 1.5 years old. It looks good... BUT- the battery only gets about 12-14 hours life. And, the always on display is NOT on! I have checked all the settings, and the health settings, and turned off everything. I even uninstalled Google assistant, to try to get more battery. Soo- I am not a fan of the 5 Pro.. again, Samsung has disappointed me. The battery should be good for 4-5 years minimum. This watch is way too expensive, to have such poor performance!

Odd, I got a open box too and my first charge was 1d8h, my second charge was 2d1h, my third charge I am on now is 1d3h since last charge and it's at 72% with 2d3h left. It just keeps getting better with every charge.

Hey I'm not sure if you still have it on you, but if I'm not mistaken the watch needs time to adjust to a user's daily routine. It was the same on my GW4, it initially lasted for 12-13 hours but after a few days of using it could reach 24 hours with AOD turned on.
