I was hoping for a real phone, but this is the same mock unit that I hand to my customers to feel the weight of the device instead of disabling the security. These are not real devices, they are plastic and glass fabrications made to be put up in high risk locations in case of theft or damage. As such, this is not a true durability test.

It's not the real phone, but it would be nice if you had started out with things such as coins and keys first to see if that scratches, then move on to the more extreme tests. It's hard to see if the coin you used even scratched the phone because it was already really scratched up from the blade.

Its a dummy. Check out the time. It just stays at 12.45 in the whole video start to end. Though it gives some idea about the folding mechanism and the so called armour aluminium.

@@lki9153 The only difference between a dummy phone (made by same company) and the actual phone is only the electronic parts inside the phone are missing. The body, finishing and the overall feel of the actual phone is just the same as if you holding a real phone. In this case you can also experience the hing mechanism, its feel and its body's durability as its technically a real phone minus electronics inside. And thats exactly this guy is trying to show, phones body and hing durability. But ofcourse the real deal is the screen durability and all the other aspects which can't be tested on a dummy phone.

They make it seem like it's a retail unit, not a display mock up. The person in the video also does things that could damage the screen (as a test) but the screen isn't real so it isn't an accurate test. Especially when the screen is one of the biggest concerns of durability in this particular device.

This would show how coins effect the phone if it's in our pocket then. Then maybe with a key,. Scratching the screen with different pic strengths so we know what to be careful with. As a person who loves knowing how shit works i feel intrigued on doing stuff like this (not to my z flip 3 thoe because i love it!!) 3.
